Looking forward to whatever date is decided. I keep reading up on replacing the fan clutch fluid in my 93. Just fixed my ac and it's working great but this seems like a cheap and easy way to improve performance of the cooling system even more. Go to a hobby shop (recommendations in Tucson?) and get 10,000 weight oil/fluid? Advice? I'm kind of mechanically challenged so hoping someone at the meeting can help me knock out this project. I'm sure I could do it myself but it's always nice to have someone with experience there to help. Thanks guys!:flipoff2:

After reading more in the fan clutch service thread, I see I will need to let it drain at least over night while using heat/compressed air to speed up the process. So, I guess it won't happen at the meeting:o.

Oh, I don't know about that! If the southern meetings are anything like the northern meetings, there is an abundance of air getting de-compressed!! :hillbilly: John

There is one down by Dodge and Speedway, can't remember the name, but they stock it to at least 10,000cst, but don't remember them having any higher in stock. I've got to redo my spare one this weekend, as I just got my spare radiator rodded out and soldered, so I'm hoping to have a good as new cooling system before the meet. Figure if I have the fan clutch redone, as well as fresh coolant and a sparkly clean radiator, no more watching the gauge climb at stoplights!

Got the piggy registered, with a 30 day temporary plate today (to get through emissions), so I may be taking the piggy on her maiden voyage on the 17th.

If not, I'll be there in the 40.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again. SS - thanks for organizing!

Chuck

Cool your in, I think the upgrades on your rig might get some of us motivated on ours..;)

Also looking foward to finally meeting some of you folks.

I'd like to invite all you Tucson Cruisers over to our cabin (Soldiers Camp) for lunch - July 17th (Saturday), ~ 10:30 AM. We can meet at the Ski area until we are sure we have everyone (and for photo-ops), then drive to my place.

I'll have a grill / restroom / condiments / beverages / plates / silverware - bring whatever you want to grill, and maybe a small side dish or chips.

Otter-pops for dessert.

Looking forward to it. See you!

Chuck

PS> Very minor 4x4 action on the way to the cabin!

I'm more than game, sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday, thanks for the offer!

If one was crazy enough to come down from Phoenix for this....come in the back way or go around to the front?

Back way is more scenic/bumpy:meh:, Circle K 8:37.. Be happy to see ya.

I just got back from visiting Tucson over the weekend - Took Monday and made a 3 day of it before the kids go back to school. Even though I lived there for just under a year back in '87, I havent been back since. So..We visited Old Tucson and Monday went to Kartchner Caverns on Monday (impressed). Both were a great time. The hotel rate was very reasonable. Hilton with 2 queen size beds $79.00 a night :). I thought we'd fool everyone that was going up north and head south ourselves. Not so hot and crowds were smallish.

I also noticed some cool vehicles around town, a brown 60, a lifted white 80 with a roof rack, 35's, an arb with white driving light covers on the front (who?) I also saw a cool 72 Bronco, some Mustangs, a real nice Mr2, etc,!

While we were there, I saw this in the parking lot and figured it must be for the upcoming meet that Phil was referencing :flipoff2::hillbilly::lol:

So where is this sausage fest taken place?
