"Wardharris" ......... Anyway, they have offered to provide me with a "real" SUV so I can pre-run some trails in the park.....hee - hee - hee.....

Does anyone else hear the theme music to "Deliverance" in the background. :)

That waas Georgia.

So, is anyone actually camping at this event? You know, sitting around a fire and bullshitting and drinking beers?

Or is everyone so "advanced" that you all are going to hole up in hotel rooms?
Wow, where do I start......
While I haven't sit around a camp fire in decades, Bullshi*ting and drinking beers is something I do on a regular basis and am actually quite good at. If someone were to start a fire, I would be delighted to engage in this endeavor and while I'm certainly not "advanced", I do prefer a King size bed over a King sized piece of dirt.

Time to fess up ..... This is the real reason I prefer the hotel.

I'm with Charles on this one.

As likely the oldest and most damaged member of most Cruiser gatherings, I can and will camp when appropriate, but this event does not qualify per my exacting criteria. ;)

PS - Given many of the attendees we know to be coming, BS is the one thing sure to be in good supply. I look forward to meeting many good friends for the first time. Any chance of shaming CDan, CDelancy, Jason Reeves, Kurt Williams and some other frequent fliers from the 70 Forum into flying in for a couple days?

Just sayin' - some of you must have photos that can be used as leverage. :bounce::bounce2:

I will be packing my Muck boots in anticipation of it getting spread very deep ;)

This is a serious question and not in line with the BS prevalent in this thread.

Wrong thread, wrong forum, etc. BS is part of the DNA.... :)

So my question still stands: besides me and my guest is any one else camping?

This is a serious question and not in line with the BS prevalent in this thread.

Thanks.
Allow me to switch to my non-BS / serious mode. Although I'm relatively sure the park has more than adequate camping facilities, Peter and I made the decision early on to make Cullman, Alabama and the Comfort Suites "command central" because we thought it would appeal to the bulk of those who were planning to attend. Since our primary goal was a "greet and meet" one of the criteria was to have restaurants within close vicinity. I'm under the impression that the city of Cullman
and the park are within 30 minutes of each other so if you chose to camp or stay at the hotel, the logistics will be quite simple. It was not my intentions to dismiss your previous inquiry and hopefully this answers your question.

Thank you Charles. We'll make do and do with what the situation is.
My request of you and all that may be able to attend, is just come and we will work out the minor logistical issues over the weekend. I'm sure there will be some minor hiccups but in the end we will have fun and enjoy each other's Cruisers.

So just out of curiosity is anyone camping? I'm on a pretty limited budget and was thinking of going that route, but seems everyone is getting a room. I'll be spending a few days and coming from Charleston, few of my buddies are testing for their fire department....so trying to pinch the pennies where I can, but if no one is going to camp I'll have to make a reservation as well.
