Option parts, non-US or otherwise, pics, and part numbers seem to be "Tech" to me...

Especially when speaking out 80 specific parts.

Granted, I would never go out and purchase a remote controlled steering wheel cover, but hey...some people dig it.

Good thing this forum doesn't make ya read every post :D

you got a monkey stowed away to set the line for ya too?

As far as my options are concerned they were forced on me and I'm not about to strip them out and commit financial suicide. FTR my old 96 4Runner is a 4cyl 5 speed with crank up windows no clock and no AC, how about I start 4 or 5 threads of all the standard features that are available :flipoff2:

As far as reading all the threads, yes you almost have too. You never know when one will take a turn into something interesting.

This is just one mans opinion, take it for what it's worth. But it will be intersting to see how many cool boxes and sorts are installed here in the US.

Easy landtank! :D

You mean that you would rather read about how much my truck's worth, or how do i repack my birfields, or what wheels should i get, or what color should i paint my fingernails? I think that's pretty cool to see what other countries offer. We get ripped-off here. Thanks asiarider!

What do those two black things do? ???
Where that Compass is, In Dads FZJ80 is the Guage for the second Fuel Tank. :flipoff2: Now that it also runs on L.P.G. that Guage measures that.

Mike:

Thanks for taking the time to post - it is interesting to see how other 80s are rigged around the world.

Cheers, Hugh

Thanks for posting the pics Asia! I'm in the group that likes to check out the non-US stuff. For mod ideas if nothing else.

If you don't want the information in the thread, you don't have to read the thread... ;)

The compass is VERY expensive and only available in grey. The components alone exceed $1,000.00 US. In addition the sun visors must be heavily modified or replaced.

Yeah, just buy a Garmin eTrex or similar GPS w/ a dash mount...hundreds less, and you can bring it with you when you leave the vehicle.

Part of the alure of "other market" options is the fact that they are often made of unobtainium and humans, being creatures that seem to want what they can't have, find that interesting.

Asia Mike,
Lest my prior post be misconstrued, I want to let you know that I too like the pics of the unobtainium options.

Ignore Rick. His new 300mi daily commute has him a little "edgy" lately. He's getting no peace at night.

:D

Thanks for all your thumbs up

I plan to post some pics from the rear AC und the ventilation system.

So I will annoy some more guys but satisfy all the others. :D

Mike

I dig non US stuff.......so post away :)

I would like to see the ducts for the rear AC, if I recall they are clear on run down the rear windows.

Pics of the winch would be cool. electric or PTO(electric I would guess)

I am particularly interested in winch detail.

Go for it Mike.......Eye candy for the deprived..... :D

Okay guys,

you will get your pics soon. But my winch is only a sissy against your 12000er, or whatever you are using. :D

Mike

Hi Mike- If you're up to it, I'd be interested to see detailed views of the rear A/C- all vents, front and rear controls, etc. Also take a pic of your engine bay around the AC compressor area for me, will ya?
