Steve, I believe Ige (NuclearLemon) made that comment.[/QUOTE]

yep, i did. most of the straps have lost portions of their stitching, and recently found the canvas that holds the rope section at the windshield frame and above both doors has become rotten and will need to be replaced....but, i do still think it was worth it to get the bows...i can buy replacement material...just sucks that i have to have it repaired and it hasn't even been on one season.

Hey guys, I might be interested in selling my complete OEM soft top setup. It has the canvas replacement from STC that is off-white in color and a couple of years old. The bows and everything are in excellent shape and the original rustic green color. This is the best soft top in my opinion. It fits very snug and looks great too. You can also use the factory steel doors with the top and everything seals up very nice. The only reason I am considering letting it go is because I use the FJ40 as a daily driver and I just got A/C so I am upgrading to a hard top. I would like to get $700 or so for everything the only thing is the top would probably not be shippable except by truck because the bows are pretty good size. I am located in northern Utah so pickup would probably be the best arrangement. Anyway, if anyone has interest PM me.

Here is a pic. I have since sold the canvas doors though so they are not available. Bows and canvas top only. Either type OEM steel door would work with this top.

I wish I did make the tops, I just resell available tops and parts, I sure like the looks of an OEM top, but visablity is very poor, and that is bad 4 me, backing up in the dark in the woods, not a good combo for me,

Seth

STC took over Kayline and has made many improvements over the original. The removeable side panels and rear curtain are awesome and will add extra years of service to the whole top.

OEM soft tops blow and so do you ignorant little dweebs that think they are so hot. :flipoff2:

Normally we save that type of intellectual showmanship for chat. You must be lost and think your on another website.

It's a coward, hiding behind "Guest". Probably someone we "know" very well.

Probably just upset that he doesn't have the OEM setup.

Ehsan's tops from Pakistan - they are a bit pricey -especially shipping - but they are really really well built, pretty cool looking, and he has complete integrity (sort of hard to find these days).

It's kinda strange that you object to somebody slamming OEM Tops, but not to being labeled as dweebs. What's up with that?
Maybe if guest is a newbie he doesn't know when you say OEM you mean Ehsan's tops.

Can't be, no discussion of your momma in the message.

I had replied to the previous thread about the tops we make here.. We have been improving them over time and trying to reduce the faults... I stand by the product all the way.. What kinda weather conditions is your top faced with? This is a new complaint I have heard about the top.. I am willing to send you new canvas strips that you can get replaced to the top free of cost and with due apologies..

I have run just about every type of softop available and the OEM top is, hands down, the best for sealing up and noise reduction. It is sorta a PITA to put up or down but you get used to it. Even the kayline repo of the OEM top was better than the Bestop. Now that I have one of Ehsans' tops I could not be happier. Eshan, I think I may need to take you up on the offer of replacement canvas. Looks like mine is starting to go also.
