So...what is yet another great thing about an 80 series?

Man, thinking about driving up there to take a look at it. Even have a plan for it........

As long as you keep in mind that you'll never get that rig back to perfect condition. Please don't buy that thing and try to restore it. I'd hate to see you dump all your kid's college fund in it. Something like that, you just have to let it be what it is and enjoy the rattles and leaks, it'll be a beater.

Like Luke said, it'll be a beater.

I know where you might be able to get a good deal on a set of 4 lightly used 285s...

Hey I was being serious, except the lightly worn part. They would get you going on that 4runner.

Those tires did just as well as anybody else's that night.

Yeah, if fact IIRC you were the only one to escape without body damage. :steer:

They are now officially for sale. Now off to Denver to take a look at a new toy!

??? Do tell...

And, what tire's are you going with? Or, do we have to wait?

Have to wait on the toy :grinpimp:

Tires are the same as what I have now and getting them sipped like before.

Last person I saw do that had a long laundry list of things that were bent. IIRC it didn't drive to straight either. Did get the carnage award at GSMTR though. All told it would have been cheaper to build the trophy than win it.

Thinking 80 again..... something nice for a DD and slowly build. What do you guys think of this one. LOW miles, HIGH price...

EDIT: and it's unlocked....

You thinking instead of the 100? It seems like a step backwards in terms of being a DD. I'm sure you can get a nice locked 80 for less:

...but you might have to fly out to Jersey to pick it up :(

EDIT: I don't regret having an unlocked 80. A lot of the later year 80's are at the age of being retired by the *insert occupation: lawyers, real estate agents, bankers, etc* who bought them new. Point being: many 80 owners have proabably never used the magic dial and also don't know that it commands a premium, so if you want a locked truck, I'm guessing that you can get it for about the same price.

While you could probably could talk them down a bit I would wait for a locked one. I do see you are going for the Lexus :grinpimp:

I would stay away from east coast vehicles due to salt.

The scenario would be Jess gives up the Highlander and drives the 100, I get to build an 80. ??? Still contemplating....

Hey, once you get used to luxury.....
