So I want an FJ 40 but...

Wow.

Are you capable of making more beds floors?

Cost?

Chris did you finish Mathew's? If so where are the pics?

Save me some scraps of that metal. I need to come get some to plug some gaping wounds in my pile.

Building both at the same time. I am not a vender and didn't want to post work related items. I figured it would be OK to post my personal protect though. I hope I didn't screw up. Matthews will actually have a rear section of the fender. Mine will actually be a buggy that looks like a 40.

And after reading Greg's part out posts it looks like my this may be happening....please tell me it is happening...

Here are a couple goodies going into this build.

I have 4 seats and harnesses. The heims are huge. 39" BFG Krawlers on race line wheels.

Didn't get a bunch done today, just did some assembly of the parts. Mainly the rear tubs and bed sides.

I didn't fully spot weld everything together because as soon as I do, I would need to change something (duh!)

Our greatest challenge is keeping the rust from our hands off the new steel. I'm hoping that after I get the AC installed (this week I hope) that will help dry the air.

speaking on rust, I was telling Greg this afternoon that I didn't mention this on the posts because it's hard to actually see it unless you're in person. I spray the sides that actually touch with weld through primer so I don't have to worry about the rush eating from the inside out.

So much awesome...

A hundred pounds of steel packed into a small cardboard box that makes the the USPS second guess it's 'flat rate' decision daily...got to be from RuffStuff.

Funny you say that because I've thought that exact thing. I can't remember where I got those from, I contacted one of the venders on Pirate months ago when I was gathering all my parts.
