back to SnT

All right while appreciate everyone's opinion this is not a discussion on dogs. Sorry it got sidetracked. As I recall this is chat on SnT. So lets get back to that!!! :D

I am so excited and can't wait to meet new LC/Toyota Peeps!!

Thank you PismoJim for all your hard work, advocacy and knowledge of the rules of Pismo. I have never been to Pismo and have found this to be very very helpful. If you need anymore volunteers either with setup or cleanup I am your girl! Just PM me I will be getting there I think to late to do setup but if you still need some help I am game.

Peace

Thanks for the advice. I agree with laws there is a reason why we have them. But kids are allowed without leashes...

Betty thank you and everyone else for understanding. I especially appreciate the comments of those who have brought or bring their four legged loved ones.

Your comment above prompts me to add one more thing about safety.

While I will not go so far as to say Surf N Turf is not kid friendly, please take a moment to think about how the hazards described above relate to kids. Consider how the previous comments about the level of attention required to watch a dog might apply to watching your kids. There are big trucks, blind spots and unpredictable driving and parking patterns.

Looking both ways before crossing the street becomes looking 360 degrees and being aware of your surrounding at all times. It is challenging for adults let alone kids.

We always fence off (and blockcade) a "vehicle free" zone at the main camp, including a "kids area". The idea is to create a place where you can let your guard down for a few moments.

I don't want to belabor these issues or sound negative. We are talking about common sense and anyone would figure it out for themselves. Surf N Turf is a fun family (including dogs) event. It just happens to be set in a very unique environment which many people are not familiar.

Did I mention there will be about every make model and year of Land Cruiser and Toyota 4WD truck? People from all over North America including every age from weeks old babies to senior geezers?

We are on track for the biggest and best Surf N Turf of all time!

See you soon,

My FJ60 "Knuckles" has been on jack stands since February. It's is still a few parts away from moving. Was hoping to have it rolling a week or two ago, now hoping for next weekend. It's been down so long I couldn't smog it so no registration. It's going to be close. Sound familiar?

If we didn't have events, we would never finish our projects.

Bullie as in American Bulldog. Bringing Rylee (right) and Bandit (left) (first Pic) and meeting up with Daisy (second pic). Starting to think that I need to bring some fencing to make a doggy surf area!!! Bring your pup, all bullies rock!!!

I'm bringing my sweetie :)

We need to be a bit more careful on the sand this year Jim....

;)

It just limits my drinking to null...But its okay he loves going on runs with the Trail Crew! We will have a blast!

They make these things called "bedtimes". If he wants to bunk in with my teens, they're not much into the drinking scene either. ;)

BTW, we're leaving the dog at home. He likes the beach parts, but he does not like wheeling one bit. I love having him with us, but I've got to agree with Jim. Under the circumstances it's just not the best time and place.
