Looks like that Drexx is coming to this SnT event from his town, 7000 miles away.

He owns U80 that was rebuilt (and taken care of, I think) by Ken Hanna. A perfect truck for dune jumping due to it's deep suspensions.

Cell phone is pretty good these days. Might have to climb out of a hole to some high ground but everything should be covered.

During Surf N Turf, there's a good chance they could flag down a passing cruiser.

I've never had a problem with mine (AT&T formerlly Cingular)

Someone asked about the creek flowing the other day. We had big swells of about 20' this week combined with a 5+ high tide. This resulted in the ocean going into the creek/lagoon and then breaking it open to release the water that flowed in. If it hasn't stopped already, it should stop in a few days. If we don't get any rain by SnT it should be minimal if anything.

Wed night the waves were flowing all the way up to the fence, vehicles that were trying to leave the beach were as far from the ocean as possible but still getting LOTS of saltwater all over/under them. One guy dumped the quad that he was driving off a ledge into the creek and went over the bars into the creek. Had to turn around and find a fire to dry off by and spend the night with some folks he didn't know.

Gotta be careful down there!!!

Thats one thing I will NOT do with my cruiser. I stay as far as I can from saltwater. Love going down to the beach on a weekend and watching the people drive through the water in the big expensive rigs though. No thanks.

In 2002, Jim took this photo right before the first SnT took place, I think 48 to 24 hours before. It showed the waves up to where the beach street ended!
