I was amazed by the number of FJCruisers on the mob list. They are like rabbits.

:D

Drunk, happy, sandy rabbits!

We've even got a few folks coming in from AZ for SnT. It's going to be a BLAST! :bounce2:

New carb for the ATC. $20 from ebay and, surprise, it's 2mm bigger than the original, so upgrade! Runs like a top! New back tires too. I've got about $600 total into it. The carb problem kept it home last year.

The NorCal FJ's are setting up a massive Meet & Greet for Saturday night, far South end of the beach, away from the water. There will be xmas lights, cant miss it. Like last years.

But dont wait, come on over Friday and have a Racer with us :)

We'll be wearing these:

Any thoughts on Pacific Dunes RV park ? We are going to be in Pismo for SNT, but we will be there on Tuesday. Thinking of camping there until the festivities begin, then moving to the beach. I will keep the camp spot until we head home. Hot, clean showers will be good since i'm bringing the wifey, and i can leave my flat bed there until we leave on Saturday. Anyone else camping there ?

the local campgrounds are not cheap, predictably enough. You may be better off slipping a fiver to the host to get your hot shower...

It always looks like a nice place. Very close if a little hard find off the main road but secluded and quiet. It sits next to the dune preserve, a fenced no vehicle area between it and the beach. For those that have been here before, this is inland from Pole 2 to Pole 3.

RV park lower center, Pole 2 - Pole 3 top, creek crossing top right:

The other interesting thing for everyone is this RV park is located next to the riding stables. This is where you can rent horses to ride on the beach.

Paging Snook

My original idea was to have a simple hot tub three years ago.

Putting tarp over my M416 trailer (partially submerged to reduce stress on the axle) before filling it up with water.

But even a simple tub required at least 450 gallons of fresh water (about 1.5 tons)! Not feasible.

Cheers,
