New to the forum and the grille on my car is the first thing I'd like to tackle. Just picked up a gx460 premium this weekend and it came with some cheap looking mesh grille. Not really digging the look. Debating on picking one of these up since they look pretty good, but realized that some of the guys here are just tossing their OEM grills when swapping them out. If anyone is interested in selling their OEM grill and surround, do lmk. I want to get rid of this mesh stuff asap...

On that note, looking at the garage alpha website, they do have the OEM Prado 150 belt moldings on hand and for a very reasonable price. Might pick up a set since my front left needs replacing anyways.

Urj150, are the prado belt moldings the glossy black material or the matte rubberized stuff that's found on a lot of Hondas/acuras? Do they match the TRD grille texture?
Paint it black and throw a Lexus logo on and you've got a poor man's F-sport grill. Or the TOYOTA logo from an old cruiser and you've got a Satoshi grill 🤷🏼‍♂️

If you want a TRD Style - I'd be more than happy to include the lower grilles as well.

I would offer you my OEM upper - but I tossed it a week ago thinking "not gonna need this anymore". 🤦‍♂️

Just confirmed that the TRD Style Front Grille DOES work with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) and Pre-Collission System (PCS). If your vehicle has DRCC or PCS and you wish to retain it, our TRD Style Grille WORKS with no modification. Just bolt on and go!

Big thanks to Anthony (@offroad47) for being our guinea pig!

Is that a Canadian rig?
Looks like a pre-2014 and those didn't come with camera's and radar in the lower 48.

I'd have to have @offroad47 confirm - but speedo is in MPH and hes in Texas - so I assume it's a USDM vehicle?

For sure it's a pre-2014. 🙃

Rare options but available for 10-13 models in US. Even a mix of options before it was called Driver Support Package. You could get just cameras and crawl for instance without radar sensor. Fairly common config in Eurasian markets as well.

Too bad that's not as simple of a plug-n-play install as MTS and CC.

This is a US model. My Gorgeous wife even points out the ones she sees with front cameras when we are driving. Of course she is a rare US model as well. The front park assist is awesome. Especially with a 3 inch lift and you can’t see over the hood. The light kit is a very nice piece on this .
I will post a little how I hooked it up soon. All three lights connect to a lead that has enough wire to put them on a separate switch under the dash or to a parking light like I did .

I still need a pic of inside your dash extreme right side when you install MTS :-)

I have the ECU for the cameras but install location isn't clear with my current documentation

Thanks!

I have not forgotten you my friend. Sorry it has taken longer than I thought to get to it. I do have the MTS module. Thanks again Acrad for all the information you share with us. 👍🏼

urj150 could you message me about the grille I received with broken tabs?

Haven't had any luck at getting a response emailing the vision@garagealpha.com address twice, sending a message through your website's contact us page, private messaging the Garage Alpha facebook page, private messaging the Garage Alpha Instagram page, private messaging your Instagram page, or private messaging you through this site.

Thanks.

Well, guys...now that you've had this for awhile - how do you like it? How is it holding up? Anything you can share will be appreciated!

Mines still holding up good. The small modifications to take up a little slack I think has helped keeping it from cracking or braking a tab in very high winds and an automatic car wash.

Good to hear! What are the “small modifications” you’re speaking of? Did I miss that?
