What no powder coat? Cheapskate!

he wasnt cheap... around 60Gs of work that we did for him and everything was bare or clear coat.... pergola was 15Gs...

he liked the bare aluminum look.... go figure... not for me... silver would have been nice

Nice aluminum work, think i was at your shop when some of the fabbing was being done for that. I'll call you after xmas, pretty sure we still have some gift exchanging to do. Gotta love ruffstuff for that sort of thing huh, tough to buy the steel, let alone the cutting and bending etc...

worked on my track bar... almost there... forward mount from a Dodge one ton radius arm chopped and welded to a piece of box tube...
track bar welded up and just need to put some plate or pipe in there for bracing...
and axle mounts tacked in place.. will weld them up next weekend...
almost another thing to check off the list...

well brakes are finally done and exhaust half done...

looks like the list is down to one major and alot of little things.....:D

effect by wheel hop? I read a couple of posts saying to face the shackle down to help antisquat and to keep the bar level with the springs.. will search for woodys post...

Very nice, by shooting the long bar down will effect your climbing

Rob

Will it affect the climbing in a good way, or bad way Rob?

Let me know what you find out Adam. I suppose there could always be several head butting mud-opinions on this topic but either way I had better figure it out before I get going on mine.

Generally speaking its kinda like link suspension, will effect your squat and or anti squat during climb...

You want to be fairly parellel, so the top bar should shoot strait to the top pivot on the axle preferably.

That being said, its way better than no track bar..

Wheel hop is generally due to spring wrap, thats why you rarely see linked rigs bounce as badly as leaf springs without track bar.

so your saying that i should have carried the top tube across to the shackle and not reversed it like i did... will see how it works and if i need to change it up a bit then thats the name of the game ... i do appreciate the input..

I am sure it will work just fine, sometimes whats gosspil is not always the best way, some guys do thier link stuff all wrong and it works:beer:
