I've been running about 6 months. They're still doing great and I feel the Hella Housings are what is really making them work.

I'll probably buy another set of 80/100 to keep in the truck and run this indefinitely. A friend of mine just did the heated LED 7" lights and he is really impressed, but it was close to $500. I'll keep this cheap set up. I really didn't like how the LED lights looked on my truck. Too modern.

Ok good to know.. Always wondered if it was the lights or me. Contemplating splurging for the Hella or Cibie housings with the current bulbs or possibly trying something like the Philips Extreme Vision or Osram Night Breaker Lazer (both are rated at 130% better light output than a standard H4 halogen).

I would go to the Hella or Cibie. If I did it over, it would be Cibie. This is after having the 5.75" hella h4/h1 kit on another old car.

They take more pride than the Indian built Hella. I've not had a problem with mine, but the Cibie is supposed to have the best cut off and beam pattern. Which is really the most important thing in a headlight. It could be plastic, but if its sharp its all good.

I had the Cibie H4s on my old Squareback, and prefer their beam pattern to the Hellas on the 60. I think the PN is 82440.

Also picked up this harness to try since slcfj62 ones are NLA. Haven't installed yet but it looks like decent quality, and it's non-destructive install in case it fails.

Post up a review on this thread once you have it in, that's a very fair price for the components alone

I spent some time browsing through the 88 customer reviews on Amazon. Although it has 4+ stars, there's definitely some folks mentioning the quality of plastic and parts. They "work" tho.

Brief review (sorry no photos): Component quality is OK, I think the relays are non-standard which could be a concern if they fail, but they are potted and appear to be made of not awful plastic. Headlight connectors are ceramic, a little tight but fit snugly when installed. Harness itself is loomed long enough to span the width of the rad support with a little bit of flexibility in mounting locations, the two relays will sit over on or near the inside fender support due to the proximity required to the battery or distribution block if you have one. There is an inline fuse and holder included on the positive tap side.

Initial verdict is - brighter headlights, less indicated voltage drop on the dash voltmeter, no high/low dash indicator however. So far I think it's a decent buy if you're considering if a relay harness is worth it at a lower quality and price point to the ARB/IPF.
