We had an amazing time, great to meet everyone and wheel in such a beautiful place. We ran the Alpine Loop Friday, Imogene and Ophir Saturday, followed by Black Bear with Chris on Sunday (with a rainy Ophir crossing back).

Only story was on Black Bear right before the steps Sunday, we had all stopped to watch a guy swinging out on a cable over the creek. When we got back in the truck and @bluecruiser was spotting the first few guys down my rear seat belt decided the incline was too much and locked up tight ... much to the displeasure of @Sea Knight who was riding back there. It was a few panicked moments throwing gear across the back seat to buckle up on the other side, with a bonus ride down the steps on the off camber cliff side :D He was able to get the belt working when we stopped at the waterfall for pictures, he looks happy huh? Might have to iron the butt clench out of my leather ...

Good times!

Holding my spot. I got home about 6 hours ago, happy to see my wife and kids...but sad it's over. Had an incredible time, and will post up a full report tomorrow. For now, my fav pic from the weekend.

Thanks to all for making this such a memorable weekend. It was a blast, great trails and good company. Thanks for all your interest in "the diesel" brought over by "the Brits". Good luck with next year and we'll try to fly in for another event

Had a great time! Won a light bar thanks to Gamiviti. Only downside was we only got to do black bear, ohpir, and some of Alpine loop. Next time we're definitely staying Sunday. I need to conquer the wall!

Here's a quick video I threw together. I got impatient an posted it in he live thread, but wanted to post it here too.

I had an amazing time! This was my first year, and I hope to make it back again. I was amazed at what my fairly stock LX could do. Thank you so much for putting this together Chris and Stan!! It was so great to meet so many like-minded people. I definitely need to gear up for next year, so I plan on supporting as many of the vendors as my wife allows. Here a few few random pics that I took.
Day one all lined up.

Did anyone in the Sunday Imogene group get a picture of the 80 with the large American flag flying off the back (near the top of the pass)? That was quite a sight!

Lets assume I have a stock 2006, no AHC. What would I need to mod to run these trails next year?
What is the camping checklist of items (never done this)?
This will be in July again?

P.S. Ill be sure to haul dozens of San Diego's finest beers for sharing purpoises

True all terrain tires and a CB. Read thru the first few pages of the original thread: 6th Annual 100s in the Hills - Silverton, CO July 29-31 2016

You can also grab some lodging in or around Silverton if you don't want to camp.

Thanks, I saw that just after I posted this, looks like there are some "entry level" trails to run which is good by me. Have 275/65/18 Michelin LTX AT 2 on there right now, might want to keep the stock look with the running boards.

I'll probably camp since I'll be bringing the dog and will definitely stop by the Grand Canyon since its on the way.

These pictures were so nice to look at for those of us who didn't go. Thanks guys!

Someday, someday...
