I think I will be good to go. How about a big old Ceasar Salad? Some greenery to go with Boston Mangler's Tri Tip and Links? I do make a mean Long Island Ice Tea could bring some ingredients. That might be much with Punch and Margaritas though. What do you guys think?

Big old Ceasar it is. Refresh me, how many people are we having in the pot luck?

Please excuse me on questioning the drink selection, what was I thinking?

WhooHoo!

This is shaping up to be quite the Father's Day Weekend!:bounce: :bounce2:

I haven't checked the thread in a few days, and it is great to see the activity. My wife is definately in, and we will also be contributing to the drink selection as Mo has requested to sample my patented "Walk the Plank Punch."

What food should we bring for the Saturday night potluck? It sounds like meat is taken care of (mmmmmm, meat), and Mo's taking care of the veggies (if you're into to that kind of thing). So, any requests?

Also, suprisingly the wife was receptive to going up on Friday night. So Kevin, what do you say, caravan on Friday night?

As a side note, I'm getting new tires this week. I've ordered the Firestone Destination MT's (285/75/16) from America's Tire as they matched TireRack.com's price of $168. I'm getting 5 tires for $1000 out the door.

Looking forward to a test run in Big Bear!

Hello all, sorry I have not been in here as of lately. I can bring a pasta salad, chips and dips and a couple of pies. Mummm…pie. I will have four people in our camp, a total head count will be needed for the food.

are we counting adults or kids....

2 adults 3 kids in my case...

( or if you ask my wife 1 adult 4 kids)

I invited my Pop but I am not sure if he will be able to make it. If he does he might come up seperate Sat am and leave Sat pm. Count me as 1 and I will let everyone know if it turns out to be two.

Who needs smores when I'm baking a cruiserdrew cobbler! Food is shaping up VERY nicely.

Just me - still contemplating going up Friday evening.

I might join you Brent for a caravan on Friday night. Just need to clear it with the :princess: as she will have to watch the little guy. What time do you think you will leave, ballpark guess?

After work unfortunately - may to try to get out a little early - but probably still looking at 4 or 5.

That will probably work out fine for me too. I will let you know.

I will be heading up Friday night as well. I will be caravaning with dan (oldgoat) and wont be arriving until late.

The :princess: informed me last night that she has arranged for Scotty to be at his grandma's house overnight so we can have a night out with friends. Looks like I am back to Sat am departure. I will be out there early though. Probably leave at 0 dark thirty or so. I am getting antsy now.

How many people plan on doing a short trail run before departing on Sun?

I will play it by ear and she how the girlfriend is doing, this is her first "Wheeling" trip! :D

Well now, it looks like i wont be able to make it!

Just got back from the Baja 500 and have some somewhat serious damage to the rig.

Too tired now to get into it but i will post details and pics tomorrow. I just wanted to give yall a heads up that i wont be making it. Long story short, we sheared 4 of the 6 lugs off of the front drivers wheel, had no spare studs, found some guys to weld some beads onto the hub so the wheel would "Fall Completely Off" and then limped it 200 miles home @ 35mph!

More details and pics to come but this will be a very involved fix and wont be ready by the 16th!

Anyone got a spare 80 alloy and/or hub (thing rotor attachs to)?

Thanks, details soon!

Kevin,

So sorry to hear about the truck, can't wait to hear the full story. Sounds like one that will be told around the campfire for years to come. Baja can be brutal. That sucks that you won't be able to make it. I know it is not the same but I will be riding solo if you want to meet in OC and ride with me from there.

Mo

I wish you all the best of fun and craziness... This did not fit in our calender. I will be there in spirit, with many fond memories. I will be in Wrightwood, for summer camp for my girls. I should have fun exploring, one of the few areas I know little about in the local mountains. Hope to see some pics, when all of you get back;)
