Singing the Praises Of C-Dan

I've also got to jump in on this one.
I drive 4 hours round trip to have my BMW motorcycle serviced at a BMW dealer in a town of 1,000 (I live in a city of >4MM with at least 4 BMW motorcycle dealers, one of which is a a long iron down the road). Why? Because the service is amazing and, more importantly, the guy that runs the place knows these bikes like the back of his hand. You mention something to him and he can think of the entire project and all of the other parts you need, but didn't know about and forgot to ask.
Exact same situtation with Dan. He knows his stuff on 80s - cold. I go to my local parts dept (and I have really spent probably >$2,000 on parts there) and they know jackl about my truck and never offer a discount. I recently called Dan about child restraint anchors and he called me back a number of times to discuss the various options and to make recommendations. Local parts guys - nothing!
He's won my business and I live across the country and in a different country!

PS - Just to pass the love - I've also been very impressed with a Toyota Dealership near my in-laws cottage in a town of 20,000. Very friendly, got my truck in for an emergency repair within hours and provided a 15% parts discount without asking...all with a shop rate of c$65/hour.

I am just after a diesel for a daily driver, can't argue about fuel savings in a 30mpg German couch

Let's do some math here:
C-Dan has 4,662 posts. Let's round that to 5,000
He averages 1 "sell" per every 4 posts.
That's 1,250 part "sells"; let's round that to 1,500
The average part "sell" is $425; let's round that to $500.
1,500 x $500 is $750,000; let's round that to an even $1,000,000
Dan gets 37% commission; let's round that to 50%
That gives C-Dan a cool $500,000 commission from IH8MUD so I'd say it's time for free caps and a round of
