As I posted previously I have a 1969 with the side mount turn signals. I've gathered they are pretty much impossible to find and since I plan on wheeling my pig and have a tendency to run through close brush and break stuff I'm leaning towards removing these turn signals since they would be better off on a resto pig where they can remain undamaged. That's one long run-on sentence leading to my question: what would you think these are worth IF I decide to sell them?

TIA for your opinion!

good ? as they don't come up for sale often. can I get first in line if/when you decide. I could also partial trade for early 55 rectangle ones.

Good condition? Yes, the lenses are aged of course, the paints worn but all 4 lenses are intact and have decent to good rubber. One housing and mount needed to be tacked back together to remove the wiggle/slop. You can be first in line Paul but I don't know what I'm going to do, I'm really just trying to establish some kind of value.

i liked the looks of my old early '69 with the side mount signals so much that i put motorcyle signals on mine to resemble the style.

Sounds like a good idea, any pics? What motorcycle signals did you use? I like the idea of something replaceable, not that I trash my cruisers but I have broken stuff and have no desire to break irreplaceable stuff!

problem with selling is that only 69's have the apron made for the side turn signals, which really shrinks your crowd. i guess someone could just bolt them onto newer aprons, but wouldn't look as factory.

btw, is the pig gonna make wednesday's meeting? if so, i'll get all the snow cleared off one of mine.

Hey Ige!

I figure the only people that would want them would be owners that have the right apron to begin with, a small group for sure. On the other hand I could sell those too I suppose if someone wanted to fake an early model. Don't know why anyone would want to though.

No, on making it to the meeting. It should be road-worthy again by Friday but no sooner. The front suspensions pretty much back together with 60 series springs, shackle reversal, cut & turn SUA, u-bolt flip, disk brakes, etc. The rear is still w/o an axle and there's no drivers door which would make it a bit hard to drive.

I plan on bringing it next month. I'm jealous that you just have to clear snow to bring one of yours. Hell, I'm jealous that you have a choice of pigs to bring!
