Yeah!! I regret not going 12.50". The wheel wells on these things are huge.
This was exactly my thoughts before I pulled the trigger. I was back and forth with an 11.5” and 12.5”. I had 285/60R18 and that’s 11.5” wide and still has a lot of space. So going for the 12.5” just made sense for me.

Do you still have AHC? What all did you have to do to fit those 35’s? Looks cool!

Yes, factory UCA, AHC, caster settings. Front ride height sensor is shortened, torsion bars are cranked to meet fsm spec front pressures. Pinch weld body work has also been done.

Thanks! I know it’s subjective but do you feel the need to regear? I’ll be buying a set this year and deciding if I want to go with 34’s C load or 35’s like you’ve got.

I have driven it approximately 10 miles since install, will definitely let you know how it affects the mpg -but I’m positive it will (for comparison, I averaged 15-16mpg on 275/70R18 (33.4” Wildpeak AT3W) and 285/65R18 (32.9 Ridge Grapplers).

This was my guide as I closed in the final stage of deciding (35x12.5R18 with Toyo). And these figures is what I compared based on how would I use them:

I went with Load D.

If you’re good with an 11.5” tire width, your target size 34” tall tires (285s or 295s) is ok.
But if you feel you need more width, what I did was I measured countless times and did a mock up in the garage a few times. So subjectively I was convinced after that exercise that the 12.5” wide tire suits my liking.

Few anecdotes:
• A 35x12.5R18 tire in paper only measures 34.7” tall (at most) in real world @ 34 psi (typical pressure for road driving).
• From my research, I haven’t come across a 34” tire with a 12.5” width on an 18-inch wheel, just 11.5” wide option.
• This was my initial option: 295/70R18 (34.5”), and comparing the price of that to a 35x12.5R18 (34.5” in real world) is about $10 difference per tire.
• Tires aren’t cheap anymore compared to 6/7 years ago, so I did my due diligence to do my research and try to avoid buyer’s remorse as I will use this for the next 5 years or so.

Hope this helps and good luck! Make sure to post here when you have decided.

Did you say beast!? Here you go 285/65/20 Michelin Defender on 20" Tundra rims. Cushy!

Yep, totally subjective. I recently put 35's on and I regeared last week. My engine and trans are once again in their happy place. It drives just like stock but with big squishy tires under it.

Curious why the zero offset and a big spacer? Aren’t you rubbing bad on the pinch weld area or did you cut it back big time?
You could certainly ask why 20s too, but it's probably personal choice.
