I was really interested in the Solo and Breeo stoves because of the smokeless aspect, but I couldn’t bring myself to pay what they’re asking. I watched a couple videos where people made their own, so I picked up a fire ring at the store along with some pavers over the weekend.

I left some small gaps in the pavers on the ground, and drilled holes every 2” along the top rim of the fire ring. The idea is that air is sucked in from the bottom gaps and travels up between the fire ring and the pavers, then gets sucked into the fire itself via the holes along the top of the ring. Allows more intake of oxygen and is supposed to create a vacuum effect of sorts once it gets hot enough. It’s not 100% smokeless, but it’s crazy how much it cuts down.
