I need the lower portion/bracket/hardware of the driver's side seat frame for my '64 FJ45 SWB - I have the upper portion where the cushions slide onto.

Am I correct in assuming the 40 seat frames are the same for that year?

Anyone out there want to sell me this stuff?

thanks - Aaron

Clarification- since this thread has had no response, just looky loo's- maybe more info is needed.

What Aaron needs is the hinged frame portion that has two bolts in the rear and a hasp type front lip that the drivers seat frame connects too.

I know someone out there has one and can help a brother out

Thanks for the clarification. I guess its just my ignorance as this is my first cruiser - so if I don't have a part chances are I've never seen it.

No worries though we can turn this into a chit-chat thread. Seems most people on here only chat anyway and don't offer technical assistance. OH DAMN! did I just call 'em out...

more chat (might get a response) - I tore my forearm muscle last week so I'll try and spray the paint and then go idle for a month.

Not too bad though because I got some Vicoden's. Ate 2 last night and had a 6er. For some reason that made me try to take a sh*t standing straight up. Kind of weird feeling and not worth the mess.

...typing is making my arm swell up again so I'm done

sorry. I ain't got that kind of cake.

rip off the bottom part and I'll give you $40 for it.

Just saw this thread for the first time. The 45 seat frames I have are for the 64 and newer 45s WITHOUT the toolbox. I have only ever had my hands on one set of the toolbox-type seat frames. They are VERY different. And both are different from the 40 series.

If you're interested in the 64 frames, leave a message at the shop. I am slower at answering PMs than phone messages. Of course if you don't leave a message, then I won't worry about it at all!

Mark,

I was able to wade through the pile of parts last night -checked the frame and he has a complete setup. What we need is the mounting brackets at the back - the connectors from the floor to the frame-and the front hasp's (spelling?) that hold the frame to the box. I think the frame mounts and hasp's are typical to the early 40's. I seem to recall my 71 had something similar for mounts- but that was 20 years and lots of brain cells ago.

Thanks for the reply-

I may have a seat from a 45(both sides) I believe is the vintage you are looking for. But I'm in the same boat. The previous owner put it in.....it's all he had. I like to replace them with correct year a 1976.

I have a pair of mint condition front seats from a 76 FJ45. You can call me at the shop to follow up if you're interested.

Best
