Doc sent me a video the other day if his truck making the worst noise.
If youve been around 2Fs you know the sound of a passenger side motor mouunt being broken and the fan hitting the shroud.

I ordered some new ones and went ahead and grabbed a transmission one as well. When i did his H55 they were all sold out.
I could have stopped right here. The nut was missing. Mount looked OK. I messaged my guy the option and he said charge forward.

How to get these things out without using an engine hoist and doing all of the work on my back?
First i freed all of the bolts on the fan shroud. Was telling Cruiser Matt I had this job and he said check the firewall engine hook. Luckily when i did the headgasket i left that turd off.
Next take the nuts off top and bottom.
Then insert a toyota or hydraulic jack between the axle and the moror mounts and lift. One side at a time of course.
Slip in the new
The passenger side was in one piece but the drivers was separated
In the rear, with 85+ 60's its simple. Support the rear output and then remove the crossmember and replace.
Almost a goner here too

wait so was the crack in the head the cause of the low power issue?

I felt it had low power after the new head but I was really just driving a fj60 with a 5 speed and 3.70 gears and big tires. It’s fine. I was hoping for more but it’s normal.
what is the percentage of visible light for the film? I think that is about what I am looking for on my 62.
