Lee, You tale has many valuable life lessons to be learned. It has inspired some to take the path less traveled and others, myself included, to value and cherish the time spent with love ones. My Dad sounds alot like yours but the only difference is that he never took an interest in wrenching on cars. I think I will invite him over the next time I start tinkering on the cruiser so we can hang out and bond.

Guys, the pic is actually of Elle McPhereson (or however you spell her name) who was a supermodel. He mentioned that she sort of looked like her. Great story! Can't wait to hear what's next.....

Oh...I did not know his marital status. He often mentions family in this yore but I did not remember that he was married. I assumed taking off for this much time as often as he does meant he was an old bachelor.
Oh hell, I thought it was because he was a 'Navy' man. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

No pics. I doubt I could have pulled that off. The photo I posted is Elle Macpherson at age 35, which would have been about the same age as the road block girl, Gayla. She looked about the same as Macpherson in this photo, maybe better.
