Anyone going to this ride? I saw it on the social media's. I know it's the GA FJ Cruisers, but you never know what will show up. I don't have time to go on an all day ride but I may cruise the Troopy over and check out the rigs before they depart the Food City on Signal Mountain Rd. Also, it's Prentice Cooper, so a stock Heep Renegade could do 90% of the trails (Offence intended if you think a stock renegade is a viable off-roader).

I think there were more details on the GA FJ Cruisers Facebook page.

I'll be prepping and packing for GSMTR.

Me to, I'll be leaving my noon Saturday to go set up for GSMTR. The question is why aren't these guys coming to GSMTR.

I saw you in the troopy drew 944. I was in the black 3rd gen runner. Good group of guys, fun trails up there, nothing hardcore, great weather and Toyota comraderie.

I can say this about the group, most were pretty new to trail riding, most have pretty good trail etiquette, I asked about who was coming to GSMTR and answers varied from not missing work to rather go to the Appalachian Toyota Jambo in sept.

Yeah I was a little late to the party but it looked like a solid crew out there. I think they're going again on Sunday. Maybe GSMTR is a little too far from GA for alot of them?

Maybe some of the STLCA guys reach out and join these more beginner type wheelers on trails and ease their tension about joining the larger group of the club. There is a disconnect somewhere between 33" and 39" tires, LOL

I'm doing my best to fill the gap! I ain't afraid to wheel with Rocky and Ted. ;)

I was thinking about checking out part of the "Dirt Devil" trails out past Leiper's Fork tomorrow if anyone is interested. Mostly dirt/gravel roads, more scenic and relaxing than anything.

We took my wife's GX out there a couple of month's ago. Nice scenic drive.

Do you have any tracks or maps of where you went? Or even a rode to go in on? I have a couple roads I've read about on other forums.

@ugamurph got any info to share? Erin loves to ride the backroads. I think this would be a fun day trip. I'd jump in with you Cole, but I got to move some crap tomorrow. We should get a day trip together and do it one weekend. When is baseball done?

@Bama4door @jynx
I have a map bought from the dual purpose bike guy that developed it. Baseball is over (for now). End of season tourney and possible All-Star tourneys couming soon. Let's plan a trip sometime. Wish I could go to the Cove later today, but I'm afraid I have too much to do at the house.

So an inverse way to approach this could be for some of us STLCA guys attend the Appalachian roundup at Windrock this fall, make it known that we are STLCA guys, wheel with the pretty 4Runner/fj cruiser crew, gain their trust, then GSMTR may not be as intimidating? Just a thought...?

I want to go as well.

Might be a good place to try out my new setup on the 80, if it hasn't been tested prior. When is the roundup?
