I turn off I70 on 24 then to 50. I took 50 across KS on the way home 2 years ago, as I made a stop in Dodge City. It is 25-65 mph the whole way, lots of little towns. Not a bad drive but I was happy to get on the highway with my car carrier and run 70 the whole time. If you are not in a hurry, it is a cool way to see the countryside.Do you normally take 70 and drop into Colorado Springs and go south to 50 or jump on 50 earlier?
I just saw somewhere 50 billed as the loneliest highway or something, sounded appealing, even as long as Kansas is already.
I can go to the highway 2 miles from my house and it turns into 50 if IIRC.
