Finally on the road. We headed out about 8am this morning, currently just outside Memphis. Daniel is driving and I can finally relax...,sorta. See you tomorrow evening.

Anyone interested in hiking to the summit of Uncompahgre peak 14,309 ft.?, trail head is at end of FR 877 , off county rd. 20 near Lake City , on the alpine loop.
About 7 mile round trip with 3000 ft. gain, some scrambling and route finding near the top. If the weather is good it would be a nice early day hike.

Gabriel
The dogs and I would 100% be down for that.

@Dilspec actually I wasn't the guy who bought it off of Seth. TJ bought from him and had it in Maryland for a couple years. But same story as Seth, he hardly drove it. In the 2 years he had it, maybe put 3k miles on Goss. You can let Seth know that I drive it a lot. So much that my 62 and motorcycle don't get much love anymore.

Looking forward to seeing it in action.Ill be sure to send him pictures.

Today was a whirlwind of events!! Hero bathrooms, beautiful scenery, oh and the rear third member BLEW UP on us!! So we pulled the drive shaft, power side of the axle shaft and drive it another two hours with the front locked. Tomorrow we have an hour drive where I’ll be picking up a used third member and then back to normal. CD very kindly pulled our trailer for us since the rear wasn’t working. I can’t say enough about the commitment of this group of the greatest people on earth! It’s been an adventure!!

Hey so is everyone camping in the KOA? I have never stayed in a KOA nor do I know how this one is laid out with car camping. What do I need to do to get a spot if I haven’t got one yet? Thanks

Yeah the group is camping at KOA. Maybe there have been some cancellations? It's worth calling. Last year there was a fair bit of people moving around, trading places, etc. There were surplus spots among the group as a whole from last minute changes. You may be fine showing up, hanging out a while and seeing who has space to double up. I wouldn't stress to much about it.

Dude, your luck.. seems like you are taking it well! Rolling with the A-Team was a good call!
Not much I can do about it. Such is life sometimes. Lol.

I may have room to spare and cutting cost is always a bonus, but won’t know till we get there.

Been a good days travel so far. We had some hickups along the way but got this convoy on the right track. Being a part of SAS means you will not be left behind even if you have mislabeled shifters. (Daniel) :pompous:

Check with the KOA office. We unfortunately had some last minute cancellations so some spots may become available, calling will be your best option. We should roll in mid to late afternoon tomorrow. Shouldn't take too long to swap a third member and have the Coffee Wagon back on track.
Safe travels to all, See you Fellers in Ouray...
Casey..

Got here yesterday afternoon in kabin spot 79. We walked around and didn't see any cruisers yet except a tan 60 rolling through. I'm sure we will see alot today. Nice set up and the weather's great!
