Want to partner? I’ll offer some history lessons learned from the local mining and native communities. Half of it will be true. What day are you thinking?
This is a cool idea, fellas! If you’re looking for a model, the lens loves @cornboy. Stunning.

Hey Mike, Last year I led my group to the Ames generation station and the guy there was kind enough to let us in and give us a tour after I had given the group a brief history outside the station. Shervin took some amazing footage from inside the station too if you want some of it. I can reach out to the power station again to see if they are willing to do a tour again.

Cheers, James

Well, since the can is kind of open, here is what I would like to put out there as a run idea:

Improve your photography and photographs by learning to see light, shape and form in ways that professional photographers do.

Maximize the versatility of whatever camera you’re using whether it’s a top of the line dslr with the fastest lenses or an iPhone.

Explore unique and unconventional photographic techniques to turn your snap shots into photographs.

I will also cover post processing to bring out the best in your favorite photos.

This will be done on one of the easier runs and will be limited to a reasonable number of (8?) attendees
.

If you don’t know me I’ve been a professional photographer and commercial art director for more than two decades shooting mostly adventure brand based advertising as well as slice of life human interest stories. I love sharing photographic knowledge and am a proponent of more better photographs in this world.

PM me to sign up -
Thanks,
Ian

You will learn a lot.

I think the one @Mike Shull used on the T-Shirt @RevISK used sunglasses as a light filter taking that of us.

Folks, I’m going to call this run full for now. If you read this too late and are really interested, PM me and we can see about a day two.

Thanks for all your interest, it should be fun.

Ian

Bro, I was eating.
He’s going to send me another from his portfolio for your consideration. Hold, please… your call is important to us…

I would love that! It has been a long time since I have been there and some of the equipment from inside of the station would make cool designs.

I am working on a mine shaft drawing from a picture that I took of the Sutton Mine back in 2014. I’ll post those in my vender thread soon.

If you reserved a space for me then give it to another person. I should probably be leading a trail on Monday anyway. I’ll catch up with you at camp.

Here you go, Ian. Perhaps we should consider a “Men of SAS” calendar? @cornboy

I will stick with designing the classic Land Cruisers calendar

I’d take a gander at Tim shirtless.
🤷🏽
Nobody wants to see that. It’s like a sack of cats going off to the river.

At least it doesn’t look like the sack after getting pulled out.
