Ok looks like a slight change in plans.
Friends form The Rising Sun Club of Colorado reached out and invited us to run Holly Cross trail with them on Saturday it’s a black diamond 9 rated trail 😍
We will just be to close to pass up the opportunity
So we have been scrambling all day to leave tomorrow instead of Friday so we can meet them and run the trail.
Then we will head over to Ouray Sunday morning.
Super excited about this!

Wow, getting everything ready for an early Saturday am leave for the 2 day drive out, major amount of work…& I’m not only talking about packing & being sure the rig is ready. Lots of other stuff.

I live in the 3rd largest county square mile wise out of the 58 counties in California…but the 6th smallest in population…which is great. Relatively low crime…but still, you’ve got to leave it as secure as possible. Chain up my log splitter, secure the motor home, put away tools, lock up boxes etc. etc.

Have lived @ this residence for 18+ years & so far have never had an issue…but I still spend a lot of time securing my stuff. Fortunately the local Sheriff lives right next door & helps keep an eye out.👍

Ok, got to go out & lock up some more stuff.🎯🎯🎯
That effort you put in keeps honest people honest!

I was calm earlier. Now I’m in “hurl it in the vehicle” mode.

Mechanically, I’m good.
Spiritually?
Debatable.

Check for a possible yard sale by the gold panning sluice.

Well dam it were still heading out in the morning.
I haven’t told the wife about any of this I could end up sleeping out in the rain😳

I would attend this event purely for Thursday alone. 10/10

Amazing work.

Assuming you have contacts in the bourbon industry?
With declining alcohol sales across the country - wine, beer, bourbon - I’m doing my best to take up the slack. I have friends that help me with this Herculean effort…..

that looks like a lot of forgotten memories
Hell, I can’t even remember what I packed.

It's like the saying goes " my drinking friends have a Land Cruiser problem" although I don't drink

You're doing a damn-fine job, sir. Thank you!

My cousin lives in Durango and said the Ouray area is getting hammered.
I texted Bill Leo in Ouray proper for a boots-on-the-ground assessment. Will post what I hear if he's home. He's retired and travels quite a bit.
