The ProCar 90 seats are pretty great for the price. I put them in my 40 and it was a good decision.
Cost less than redoing my OE ones.
I might look into that. I almost bought those for the salt wagon fj40. I can actually buy oem seats for this samurai though. although if the procar is cheeper I might go that way.

Well I got carried away and painted all 4 rims yesterday! Not the spare yet though. I went with white because it is what it would have had from factory. My wife said " now it really looks like a hot wheels" I even finally replaced the drivers brake caliper. while I was waiting on the rims to dry.

I am a big fan of this paint gun! it just works when you need it. I flush it out and clean it with lacker thinner every time I use it and it has been good to me. 40$ at harbor freight! I highly recommend. One day Ill get a top feed one. but this one has worked for everything I have needed.

The white does look better.

I cant get over how much better the samurai Looks with the rims painted white! She is a looker now! My top 3 vehicles I have always wanted are: fj40, Fj55, and suzuki samurai and I actually have owned or own all three. I can honestly say the samurai does not disappoint! sure I wish it was faster or maybe even a little newer (jealous the rest of the world still gets a jimny) but I really love this little 4x4. Snagged these photos this morning checking the surf.

I'd suggest against the OEM seats, IMO its not worth what you'd pay for a pretty uncomfortable ride. The white rims look fantastic btw!

ehh I have oem seats in it now they are just roached out. they are fine. I like oem where I can get it. If I could find some JDM ja22 seats I would do that in a heart beat though.

Had fun no topping it the other day while it was warm! its back to winter feels unfortunity but it was nice for the few days we had temps in the high 60s and low 70s! I love that this top will just fold back and lay they if you want to go topless.

Love all your photos Rob!

Another round of gnarly weather for us this weekend. Get the little one out there in sandblaster.

Snow, wind and tide a good combo for the Salt Shaker, add some tequila and sounds like a margarita. Good times for the little ones second storm on the island in a week. Mommicked.

Been mia from this build for a minute. I really have been daily driving the sammy. Its fantastic for around here.

I have been doing new dad things and focusing on my 55 project. But some new things good and bad with the samurai: I have been struggling to get a winshield wiper motor and stuff working in the samurai. I think the aftermarket windsheild frame is just not that great and the motor arm gets bound up inside the frame. a little annoying. I bought a motor on amazon for 75$ and it did not work because the arm that spins in there was too long and My last effort is I ordered a used motor on fleebay to see if I can get that to play nice with the new linkage and new frame. Might have to do somthing custom in there.

Some more positive news: I bought a radio head unit off amazon for 50$ its a nice Pioneer one. I have not had a functioning radio in a vehicle since my kzj78 diesel land cruiser. it will be nice to have a radio once I install it.

One other thing I will do when It gets warmer is paint the door hinges! I have not gotten around to doing it! Eventually I am going to also buy some new gears for the samurai Tcase.

also I never posted all these fun snow photos from the snow storm

Update! I got the windsheild wiper motor to work. I had to shorten the arm that is attached to the motor. for whatever reason the arm would bind up in the aftermarket frame. Thank goodness because we have had a lot of rain and this samurai is my daily. thank goodness it gets good MPG because this gas price hike is going to really hurt. Also installed the new radio! its really nice to have one again! even though my speaker is kinda blown. I have a replacement speaker so that should be fixed this coming week.

Also anybody notice that the 1988.5 samurai dash Jeep copied for the tj somewhat? its very similar.
