Sent you a PM with some questions; forgot to ask (and I assume the answer will be yes), but do all the gauges work? What are the extra gauges it appears you've added?

Before I put the different radiator in I had some cooling issues. So yes all the gauges work. The two I put where the stereo goes are water temp and tranny temp I was using to check actual temps. Everything runs great now I just have not switched the water temp back to factory or mounted the tranny temp in a different spot.

Ok here are some common questions that have been asked and thanks to collk22 he asked them all in a message!

1. Do the AC and Heater work?
2. What are some of the small things you refer to as needing to be done?
3. Is this vehicle mechanically ready to be a daily driver?
4. What kind of mileage are you getting?
5. Are there any known issues/flaws with any of the major components / systems?
6. Realistically, can someone that's not as mechanically inclined as you are enjoy/maintain this vehicle?
7. Is this vehicle road worthy today (i.e., Could I hop in the vehicle and drive it back to the east coast if I purchased it in person?)
8. Is it registered? Title in hand?

Here are my responses.

1. Heater yes, AC lines just need tightened and AC charged.
2. Paint (but that is not small) finishing touches on rear bumper, repaint front bumper, check engine light is not hooked up, OBD port is not hooked up.
3. transfer case sometimes makes some noise. I think it is the front output. may need a new bearing and the backlash adjusted. I will knock off $1000 for that. Or I will have it fixed for full asking price. just started to happen but is not getting any worse. I have been daily driving it and have wheeled it with absolutely no issues.
4. Not sure I really don't pay attention. I would say same or a little better than stock
5. It is not smog Legal. I do not have smog compliances here. Only other one is what was mentioned in number 3. Not major though in my estimation.
6. Yes and for a ling time.
7. Yes, I would
8. Yes

BUMP for any interest. Will consider trades and I could sell another vehicle.

PRICE DROP to $15K because of the t-case.

PRICE DROP MUST SELL!!!!

$13,000 that is about as low as I can go. I have all the steel to build the rocksliders.

Does it have the original 60 transfer case? Those aren't too bad to rebuild. This is a screaming deal, I think the rust-free cruiser with conversion is worth 15k alone, not to mention the 80 axles, armor, seats, etc. I did a v8 swap on my 62 and I can't tell you how much fun it is to drive :)

I know this is a for sale thread, but I gotta ask, what rear seats do you have in there? do you have a write up? That's the first time I've seen aftermarket rear seats , and they look real nice. I'm wanting to do something like that so my passengers will stop complaining on long trips.

My signature has a link to the build thread. I'm not sure how well I documented that part. The seats (front and rear) are from a 2003 LandRover Discovery. I made my own brackets for the seats to fit. They line up really nicely with the wheel wells.

Potentially dumb questions, but don't think I saw answer to either here or build thread.

What's this radiator for? Tranny?

Did you use the locker ECU, or any other safety mechanism to prevent engagement at any time?

Yes tranny cooler. Yes I used the original locker ECU and switch, but the safety switch is usually hooked up to the 4WD low on the 80 series as a ground. I basically grounded it out. It will only engage when you turn the switch on. It's similar to using 4WD low. Don't engage the switch going over 10mph or in put it in park.

redid the rear tire carrier. much beefier. can't tell that well from the pic. I'll need to take one during the day.

How'd you get those shoulder strap seatbelts on the rear seats?

drilled bolt holes and cut out some sheet metal. wasn't too hard.

Dang...

IF only I could get it into California! I'd be all over this.
