Hello 55er... im working on my piggy Penelope, doing some rocker panel replacement. Seem my piggy got some fiberglass repair and rust ate all the metal covered by the fiberglass patchwork.

Driver side. Did the 2x4 square steel. Gonna install some kind of a slider next.

So did I... be sure to seal and paint the inside and drill a couple drain holes even...I didn't...

Thanks for the advice, i did a rust converter, but gonna primer and paint it also. I'll be drilling holes too. Where should i drill and how big is the hole? Thanks

That's on my list for sure. How much did you cut out?

If you cap the tubes why would you put drains in them?

I cut most of the lower part, left the upper where the door meet the rocker.
The hole might be for the moisture?
LAMBCRUSHER might have a better answer.

Make sure you seam seal the A pillar so you don't get any more water running down into the body...

I think we used 3M body seam seal...
