interesting comment Sam... for I intentionally go after those heavy weight T's to ensure they hold up for a while.

Oh, that's right... you're special! :)

Raffle prizes are flowing in, confirmations are flowing out.

I would offer - expect snow on the exit.

No, we are not postponing (been there, wrecked that).

I think we should be able to have fires although confirmations note plan propane (as usual).

Jeeper Jamboree folks have declined, trail too hard for them.

Attend Rubithon in 2010 and get schooled!
Tony I have to clairfy----Jeep U.S.A. did change their schedule----- Jeepers Jamboree is in July, and TOYOTA Land Cruisers are on the Jeepers Jamboree, at least 40 cruisers annually. So folks, after Rubithon your very welcome to go on another Rubicon Trail expedition. You would be amaized on how many Jeepers Jamboree Crew, ie, Rock Rollers, Camp, Cook, Medical, Mechanics and the bar folks, drive Land Cruisers. Please see me if any questions, and yes, I drive a Land Cruiser, and like bloody mary's.

No ride yet Rob!:frown::frown::frown:

Well, I am out, it is bittersweet for sure, got a job offer today! and it feels good after being out of work for 1.5 years, :)

don't think my new employer would be too cool about me asking for a week to go roll in the dirt for a week.

but gonna miss this year, next year for sure!

If you can be in Reno on Monday (or Reno, Sac or even SFO on Sunday), I have a seat. I have to be in South Lake Sunday night to drop off all of the food with the Mog Crew.

We run backwards Monday/Tues/Wed, and then Mudrak's double locker run Wed/Thurs.

Oh, and you'd have to help in the kitchen ;)

Thanks a bunch ,Cool Beans!!! I'm working on a ticket!!! By the way I can cook and clean, I'm a fireman and thats a requirement--- we allways eat good.

Just wondering if the snow level and trail conditions are being considered? I have been up to the area recently and it is BURIED in snow.

I know the dates have been changed in the past and I'm sure it didn't make too many people happy, but unless we can get some serious heat and sunshine there is going to be a lot of snow and a very wet trail.

Just an idea. I'll be there either way.

I'm not Tony Twiddy, who is the Rubithon Chair, but I know we've discussed it in the past, and determined that the last time we rescheduled it turned out we could have ran it just fine. We've decided to not change the date, and hope that by the time Father's Day weekend rolls around there will have been significant melt on Cadillac side. As Scott Johnston (Cruzilla) noted in that thread, he expects to see significant melt over the next few weeks.

Of course, we will work with RTF to make sure that we travel properly, and will "pre-run" the trail the weekend before to make sure that each run leader knows what they are up against.

I'd be curious to know what the trail has been like this time of May in past years
