Taco Bell farts, pork butt, and Spanish omelettes is the new standard for 80s tech...:flush:

Hung a cross off my mirror. Got another 5 miles per tank. Devine intervention.

It's pricey, but you can order gas from austalia which (because of the southern hemisphere thing) lighter than air up here. It's an option, but only for real overlanding.

Someones been taking the piss! Ordering gas from australia won't help. First we'd have to convert petrol to gas! That's like trying to split a beer atom. It can be done, but its sketchy as fxxx!

down here, if we want something to go better, we stick Chevy badges on it. A chevy badge is good for at least another 10hp each. if you can get one on each wheel, that's another 40hp at the wheels straight up. More power equals better mileage, no?

stick a chevy badge in the gas tank, you'll have more powerfull gas!

I use diesel, it's lighter, and therefore I get 21 mpg 30% more than regular gas, and it's cost less because it's lighter[/QUOT

I have a 5.9 cummins with banks goodies as a tow rig... I know all about the diesels

A half tank weighs less than a full tank, so if you have two tanks half full, that's less weight than two full tanks. It's simple physics, people!

True! But you also have a lot more air in 2 tanks. So it's a wash.

Hell yeah! Best thread ever. Better than the one started by that kid last year.

I love you man.

Don't forget to eat some frijoles too. Mexican power brother. Organic, ecological and dirt cheap.

Since mother's day is upon us, I want to thank your mom for bringing you to this world. You make it a better place to live. Not boring. Thank you!!!!!

I took a few print screens of this thread because it will not last more than 24 hours, so it would be a pity not to have something to remember this thread and OP by.

Man, everything I learned about Australian history was from that movie.

Huh... I thought things got hung from crosses, not the other way around...

And now,,, we get to the quiz: How many tanks of fuel does it take to get to heaven? Bonus points; if it's metric fuel, more or less?

I've asked this before and never got a reply, so bonus round:

if I paid a prostitute to ride in my passenger seat so I could use the carpool lane, how long would I need her to ride with me before the savings in gas negates the cost of her services?

Heh, that's nothing.

Wait until you try your next water crossing!

On the related topic, we all now know who starts their weekends early/takes them seriously ;)
IBTL.

It really depends on whether the only thing she's riding is the passenger seat and or what other "services" she's providing while you're driving.
On a side note, this is actually a paying profession in some countries where they are super strict on carpool lane usage. People actually walk along the main roads and will ride shotgun for money so you can use the carpool lane.

Yup, I agree in the sub tank option too.

Is there nitrogen enriched gas available there? Has to be lighter by the litre

Helium, He, atomic number 2, second lightest and second most abundant element in the observable universe.
Liquid Helium, does wonders to my 97 80, keep my engine cool to −269 °C (about 4 K or −452.2 °F), excellent mileage and very light !!
I fill up the main tank with 92 Octane, the 160 liter sub-tank liquid helium, rigged up the solenoid vale to open to both at the same time and the metered fuel pump takes in from both........man does it fly on the highway :smokin:

And not to be confused with hydrogen, H2. Much different stability results .

This thread reminds me of that kid from 10 years ago on here. He was from a small town in Missouri. Think his handle began with a j? Anyone recall this guy?
