Yeah she said it was fine, humming along on the freeway and then suddenly nothing. No noises or anything. The hammer noises only started after she was already stopped and tried to turn it over.
And btw, she 100% blames me

Me either. I'm hoping that it is just the cam gear. The Piggy problem was actually the #1 rod bolts coming loose and the cap hitting the camshaft. I bought it dead, but had hoped to use the pushrods for my 2F-E....

NLXTACY - did you ever pass smog? Maybe you at least won't have to go through that for a couple years with your 'new' engine? On the other hand, maybe your 'new' one will pass first time (insert crossing fingers smiley here).
