That's blows. I was emailing with this guy about his tcase. He's in the bay area. Maybe he still has the motor. Link

this is odd. although I saw an early 80's 2F that was all stock, last year with a stripped gear on the cam that drives the distributor.

Dang that sucks! You've had your share of suckiness with that rig.

You're beyond it now, but to check for a seized motor I would have put it in fourth on flat ground and pushed it back and forth like I do when looking for TDC.

Wishing you luck finding a solid 2f,
Butt

Yeah this thing has been a royal pain in my ass. I need to take care of all the bugs and make it perfect before I sell it to someone for no where near enough money

Tried the 4th gear trick, its like the parking brake is on. It moves only as far as the springs let it move.

Here is how she looks today. Its too bad because I just got the Goodyear MTR 315s on it two weeks ago :crybaby:

Yeah my wife wants me to consider selling it but at this point there is too much into as is and would just be a sad depressing day to get rid of it. And of course the vultures will come picking at it being as the motor is toast. Pretty sure I will hold on to it unless the wifey puts her foot down. Dont see that happening tho :flipoff2:

I'll give you $500 for it.

How about $550 ? (LET THE AUCTION START!) :D

Remember that guy, Henry, on Wilbur? He had a 2F out of a rolled 60 ... But I didn't keep his number

Maybe I still have his email, if you want to contact him... ?

Yeah he seemed a little sketch. I'll keep looking.

sounds like you "spun" the #1 rod bearing, it got real hot. when the wify pulled over to the side of the road and tried to restart it, the rod had welded itself to the crank, the starter turned the motor and broke the rod
