It happens especially after a rain. The red low battery light will also intermittently come on during the almost stalls. There's no codes being generated and I recently replaced the battery with a diehard gold. The rough idle goes away once warm but the red battery light will intermittently come on if the rpm's drop while at a red light. Does this sound familiar? Maybe water in the fuel and or a bad battery connection or alternator connection? Thanks in advance for your input.

So I brought my 80 to a local mechanic. He was unable to reproduce the cold storage issue. He says it runs great. Not wanting to bring it to another mechanic, should I suggest testing the alternator output or alternator connections to the battery? The red light still intermittently comes on about the battery voltage indicator on the dash. I had left the battery on a trickle charger overnight before bringing it to the garage on the next day. Any other thoughts or suggestions?

After charging the battery overnight for another 3 days and carrying a jump pack along, I returned to the mechanic and suggested an alternator problem again. This time he tested the output which was ZERO. Now I'm waiting to see the availability of an upgraded alternator. There's a HAM radio, winch and some other goodies drawing off the battery in there.
