Saving me the hassle of rereading what I said, I'm just going to comment on a few things.

The H55F is long with the split transfer case. My rear driveshaft is very short. Moving back the rear axle is just about necessary. This was done when I had the springs made. Keeping it spring under axle will help.

The H55F and split case are tall. I needed a body lift, and I needed to modify the tranny tunnel to make it fit.

I had clearance issues with the engine under the hood. The brake booster and clutch master needed to be moved over.

The engine modifications are well documented.
 
Good to know about the short drive shaft, and I am not looking for the added flexibility of SOA so I will probably stick with a lift kit. Will do a little investigation on stretching the wheelbase.
