Thanks Ken. I look forward to seeing you at Moab next year as well. Keep a cigar ready for meRomer said:Nice write-up Doug. I hope to see you again at Moab next year.
The instructions on the wheel cover says that it’ll take about an hour to stitch – it did. Once you get the cover on the wheel – and it takes a few minutes to work it on because it really is a tight fit, you have to stitch it together. I found that wearing a glove on one hand helped when pulling the stitching tight. Over all, it wasn’t too bad. The two-tone doesn’t match the dash well at all, but it’s fairly close to the seat color. If I were to do it again, I’d go with a solid color – probably black – but that’s just me.mooker82 said:Great looking truck. How bad was it to install that steering wheel cover? How do you like it? Got any other pictures of it so we can see how closely the oak tone matches the rest of the interior?
Thanks,
Steven
I plan to hardwire the GPS, but I still have it connected to the cig lighter. I’m using a 2-way splitter coming out of the cig lighter so I can power the XM or iPod at the same time as the GPS. I routed the power along the top of the dash to the DS A-pillar, then down under the left side vent, across the steering wheel column, under the ignition key assembly and to the center console. I’m using the power cord provided by Garmin – I found it long enough to make the loop around.FirstToy said:doug, how do you have the gps wired? i notice it doesnt drop down to the cig lighter
Made me grin too. Others have asked about the license plate and if it meant that I have AVO’s turbo in the past – I guess I’m sorta committed to going turbo someday… Maybe with the wife’s 80…when I inherit that one.nmostofi said:very nice rig Doug. It looked great in the premier issue of 4WDToyota Owner MAgazine. They got a shot of you wheeling during CM 05, The writer made a comment about your truck having a AVO turbo, it put a smile on my face

There no way I could've reached the last 2 bolts.Biff said:Doug, how was that last most inner bolt on the Snorkel install? Did you have a hard time reaching?
Biff said:Within in minutes of installing my snorkel, I as asked by a few old ladies if I was converting my suv to a submarine.
