That is one nice rig. you are doing a killer job . keep up the good work. I wish I had your talent .

ah man thanks but truly I'm really just learning as I go. I try my best to research and learn before I start doing things. The best lesson I've learned so far is just to challenge myself and push myself to try new things that are out of my "comfort" zone.

That's what I've been doing too. Makes for frustration or long waits sometimes, but I think I'm learning more in the end.

the goal is to get blue on all 4's by Sunday night.... Motor is heading to PER on Monday. Stay tuned.

sweet cant wait to see it out in the light:cheers:

so boots came over to work on his bumper and convinced me to pull my axle and get it all welded up now that the frame side brackets have been fully burned in... not too much of an update but its coming. I really really really hope to get it on all 4 very very very soon. Things always take longer than expected... especially with kids!

axle brackets being burned on:

my welds are getting better :):

and at work:

So since I can weld or at least have some clue how to weld I always get the metal or odd ball metal projects at work.... This project was actually pretty cool because it called for 120 wall 1.75 tube like what I am making my cage of so this gave me a good opprotunity to practice my notches and welding tube... so far so good. I found that my porta-bandsaw and my grinder worked very well for the notches:

Welds came out alright... stil some room for improvement:

and the 22 foot gate with my favorite tool of all time in the middle:

tomorrow I'll face it with expanded metal and give it some rollers... its heavy to say the least.

Now you have something to lean on when you have to get to the back of the engine. Better build some steps in your front bumper.

SWEET LOOKIN GOOD that thing is low :steer::cheers:

Still quite a bit on the list:

Finish plumbing fuel cell
Plumb full hydro including finding a spot for the orbital
Install new PSC 1405 pump
Plumb/install hydroboost and brakes (hydroboost unit still at Vanco for "hi-flow")
Fab up a crossember and pray that I'm not an idiot for leaving the th350 in there
Install doubler
fab/install rear shock hoops
Drivelines

That should get it moving it again at least. Then I need to:

Yank old motor and install more muscle
tune new muscle
Fab front bumper
Modify old rear bumper
Cage
Install new seats

That looks incredible Zach! 26" to the frame is a little bit higher than what I'm sitting at right now, but I'm only on 36's.
