Thank you. I call it Yodel. The chuckwagon.
3/4 ton. Factory springover. :)
Parking brake. Folding "T" bar for pushing
it around. Removable tailgate. Top is rubberized canvas.
All side held by rubber bungees so it just pop pop pop
and you roll 'em up. All four sides or any combo.
Bikini top. :) Or, remove the canvas and bows.
Beautiful wooden top slats inside. I have a large
piece of solid wood which attaches to the side. The Bar.
Open one side like a canopy over the bar.
It also has leveling devices at the corners.
Originally it hauled a MONDO compressor for planes.
I have the original swiss title. It was constructed in '53 ,
and redone it '73. Register plates still on truck. In Swiss.
It came with 700x16 and I put 750x16s on it. 33s.
The tires are from South America. 8 ply or other.
Level as can be with Gundy.
It can hold an unbelievable amount of gear.
Hardly notice it's back there. It's not in either side mirror
and it fills the rear view mirror.

So, do Swiss Army trailers have corkscrews, tweezers, can openers, tookpicks, wood saws and screwdrivers built in? ;)

Sorry I couldn't help myself.
Cool set up for the expedition/camp outs

Naw....That stuff comes with my mondo swiss army knife/multi tool.
I do keep a Swiss folding shovel in the original leather holster in
the trailer however. :grinpimp:

Fxxx yeah.

Xcuse my french.

Where did you get the trailer....?

B

I got it from a foriegn military surplus in Atl Ga.
I could dig up the info if you are interested.
I saw a cruiser towing one at GSMTR several years ago
and just had to have one. I got mine soon as I got
home.

Those Swiss need to do something about the bear attracting qualities of that trailer. :grinpimp:

Funny Story: When the bears kept invading our camp many years ago, it was a novelty we all enjoyed. However, once that bear got near that Swiss Army Trailer, David began to show some concern.

Rig looks real good, Gundy. Great testament to the durability of our trucks. And that trailer ain't too shabby, either.......

Thanks, I'm curious but no $$$ now. Maybe contact you later but I'm in Cali so might look for such a place out here. For other folks that are interested, Canadian military surplus trailers are also pretty awesome.

Again, great truck, great write up, love the way you use it.

I'm busted! Those late night huddles around the fire by about 30 people
made great cover for my REAL purpose. SAVE THE CANVAS TOP. :grinpimp:
Dang that bear and it's 2 cubs tormented us all week till dawn.
I still wish we had hung bacon on the truck where Barry slept.
Do you still a picture of the bear alarm you guys made?

Hey Capt'n, as your counsel, I'd advise against showing that thing
on the internet. ROFLMAO.....why give it up without a warrant?
Let's just say it was inventive. :grinpimp:

Most impressive feature of the trailer imho is the bartop  .

As to the bears. The way I remember it is "Dad, something is outside the tent  " Me - Ugh. Just go back to sleep. Only to learn later David and others are throwing rocks across the creek to scare the bear off. Then in the middle of the night, getting rousted and chasing a mama bear and 2 cubs down the road - I mean how stupid :D . Somebody, ahem, firing a 9mm into the ground. Somebody in teh back of spivey with a big ole shotgun blasting every other night. Then on the drive back reading about the married couple that were trying to reconcile and she gets eaten while hubby is down fishing. :D

Not as stupid as that dumba$$ who was camped near us 2-3 years ago who chased one away with his chain saw.....

Baaahaahahahaha! That guy was damn skary. Friendly, but after a few drinks I always wondered if he'd start chasing us around with the chain saw - did not sleep well after that - preferred the bears.
