Yesterday I was informed that my prime outdoor parking spot was re-assigned to someone else :crybaby:. This means I need to park that at our main building across the street. The undergorund parking garage has 6'6" clearance. I clear with some wiggle room but not much. Thanks goodness I lowered the rig. Now I have to rethink my roof rack wish list.

@ Scott.....thanks!

fjc8871 - Argh, another example of work interfering with our fun! Just sent you another PM....I have a couple ideas.....

Got your pm. Good ideas. I am going to measure how much clearance I have and see if you can do anything with it. Platform with bolt on basket and light bar sounds ideal for my new situation.

The "standard" width for a 60/62 rack would be 54" if using the rain gutter clamps. For an 80 series, it would be 48". Putting the 60 series rack on an 80 would make the rack the widest part of the rig.....not the best idea IMHO, but doable.

I got your PM and will respond right now.....thanks!

Can one mount a maggiolina rtt to a DiamondRax rack?

I'd say, talk to Greg at DiamondRax.. he rocks it!

I'm pleased with my rack from DiamondRax. I opted for a 3/4 length platform one.

Oooh, that's pretty nice. They've been making some serious improvements to their design! I like it.

X2, that looks really sweet! I like the low profile. What does that one cost?

IIRC, it was just under $400 out the door last summer. That was with the 6 gutter clamp mounts and powder coating included. It measured out at 48 x 60. I think there was a discount to Mud members going on at the time. Don't know if that is still valid. I guess you'd have to get current pricing from Greg. They can custom design for you. Greg is easy to deal with. I'm very happy with it. It strong, but surprisingly light.

Thanks for the reply. That rack has just been added to my never ending MOD list. I think it jumped in front of the swingouts from 4x4labs that I need to finish on my bumper.
