Hey Guys

I am getting ready to start mounting some goodies on my INTI (shovel, ax, hi-lift) along with some jerry cans up front.

Can anyone take some close up pics of how you have mounted your accesories to your INTI, epecially when its loaded up.

Thanks a million.

Harry

What type of mounts are you using for the shovel/axe? Inquiring mind want to know - me. While Fourtrex is beautiful milled aluminum, it's pricey!

Jerry cans in the front section I just ratchet strap snuggly. Hi Lift I mount on my ARB - to much weight that high up - I have a 60" jack. 48" would probably be ok.

Hi-lift is on the back swing out. Like Brent said, Jerry cans get ratchet strapped down in the front basket. Sand ladders are bolted through the side rail using British Pacific mounting plates with wing nuts.

Shovel is attached with a bracket that looks kind of like this.. but holds two.

The awning is bolted on using 3 "L" Brackets.

All pretty simple stuff. I can take pics this weekend if need be.

I also used quickfists at one point too.

Where'd you source the bracket for shovel/axe Dave? I've been looking off and on since I got the rack a couple of years ago.

Fawker! :flipoff2: Jeez, you're nothing but a tease! :flipoff2:

I guess I'll continue to shove the axe and shovel in the 2nd row footwell under my sleeper extensions.

Looks like i may have found it. Its the one in the middle of this photo that has two mounts with wingnuts.

I never would have guessed it being warrior products. Seems too high quality for that. But i guess it could be.

EDIT: yep, i guess it is the Warrior Products one. Looks like it's about $80

He mounted it differently than they do with their racks though.

Great minds think alike. I wasnt comfortable mounting the heavy cast 60" hi lift on the side of the INTI. Although many others have mounted it on the side, I feel like the INTI sides railes are not as strong.

I am thinking of mounting the hi lift on the front slee bumper, but untill my wallet allows me to buy one, I need to find a temporary fix.

Dave, if you can get a close up of the shovel and axle mount, that would be awesome. I want to see how the bracket holds onto the round tubes.

Thanks Guys !

It looks like from the photo Dave provided of the Warrior Products it's just a third plate that sandwiches the the upper and lower side rails.

Agreed...but a pic on our specific application is worth a thousand words. I think the Warrior rack uses square tubes, but no reason for this not to work on INTI round tubes.

It's the first thing I've seen with a straight sandwich approach that would work on the INTI. Most other similar mounts have a piece that goes under the bottom tube and there just isn't the room on the INTI.

I removed my round tubes on the side long ago due to the RTT we had up there. The way the shovel/axe mount is mounted on our rack is through the square base floor side rail with a large set of bolts. Don't know if you guys have the same thing. Our INTI is older. I'll shoot pics anyhow.

So you drilled holes thru the base to mount then? Sounds doable. Looking forward to the pics. I might not be able to do that given the side lights I've got on the rack tho.

Ok here's the photos. The brackets use only one of the two bolts through the frame of the rack. It's plenty stout. The bottom section just kind of wraps around the frame of the rack.

I dont know if you guys have enough room to do this with your side bars in place, you'll have to try it to see.

Dave,

If you don't mind - what's the measurement on the flat part on the back piece from the bend to the bend. Wondering if that spacing will still work on the round tubes of the INTI? If it's too short, those bends can certainly be straightened with a BFH and rebent to length on a vise to 'cup' the round bars.

Better yet, just take them off and send them to me to test. :D

If it's too short rather than bending them straight maybe that plate can be flipped around? I know it won't cup the rails anymore but you wouldn't have to deal with bending them straight and tightened good it would stay put. If the plate doesn't come off I would just bend the bottom tab straight so you keep the top one bent around the top bar.

Not a bad idea to keep one cupped and straighten one. I don't expect both to cup the railings of our rack.
