Dave,

You are man, thanks !!

Time to buy a new ax.

No sweat Harry,

PLEASE NOTE:

I don't know if it will be the same on yours... but i just noticed that my gutter clamp is in the way for the 2nd lower axe/shovel mount. Since i already have an axe on the trailer, i've never really checked into this. Since i don't have anything mounted in the bottom location. You can see what im talking about in the first photo i posted.

Worst comes to worst.. you send it back if you cant use it guess.

Ya, I can tell. I will try it out. If it doesnt work out, I will have my uncle fab up a rear plate. He makes custom made safes and he has a bunch of toys I can use.

By the way if anyone needs a custom made safe, let me know, I will hook you guys up.

You purchasing one then Harry?

Last INTI I was aware of was Alvaro's personal one that he was selling.

I bought Alvaro's INTI couple months back, and I was super lucky on timing because 2 Nor Cal guys were headed down to Texas and came through So Cal and dropped it off.

I guess no one saw it at the last meet.

Actually, Brent you saw it. Remember we were discussing how the paint was all comming off and rusting around the welds.

Ive been lazy, but i need to refinish the top portion. I was thinking of using herculiner/bedliner to coat the pipes, I think it will look cool and wont get scratched off by branches and stuff.

Oh you know what i remember seeing it now.

Shoot, rust and paint coming off...did you see mine?..... it's actually been through the Amazon and it's been painted red with a brush in it's previous life. I've been meaning to disassemble it and have it blasted and powder coated. Just never get around to it.

Yep - I do Harry. A couple of the aluminum floor plates were pulling off just above the driver from where Alvaro used to ratchet down his jerry cans. Did he put in new rivets for you?

Still don't know what Alvaro has gone to. Never have seen a post here or on the Norcal board about it.

I found the thread that included Alvaro's announcement:

Guys,

After years of being very frustrated with trying to import products from Venezuela, we've decided to other sources of racks.

We've found a new manufacturer that we really like. So, I'm selling my INTI Rack and getting a new rack for La Cabra.

Please PM me if you are interested.

Regards

Alvaro

It was back in February. Shot him a PM to see about an update. Curious to see if he's been trying to replicate the INTI rack with a local mfg.

The guy i bought mine from in San Diego flew his over from South America and took measurements of it before i took it from him. His plan was to make them here in the states or Mexico.. but i never heard anything either.

It's a super simple rack to build IMHO.

Well...Alvaro is still online here. His last logon was 6.13. I'll let you and Harry know if I here anything. Given the interest in the INTI, obviously at a better price point than he could get out of Venezuala, I'd think he could still have a decent market...especially if it's flexible enough for the 100 and perhaps 200 series. Doubt he'd venture into the FJ Cruiser. GOBI and ARB both have good racks and the muscle to market and sell them. I'd think Alvaro would need to be in a niche market.
