romer, if you have a hard time finding a good laptop mount, look up a company in the denver area called global mounting solutions ( i think ), guys name is mike rickert. he specializes in pc mounting solutions for police/emergency/city type stuff. he also drives a tacoma, and likes to get out here and there.

Thanks for the tip, buuuuuut as the pictures show, I have a RAM Mount installed so I am good:D

Your mind-blowing rig is an inspiration for all!

Romer,

I joined Mud a few months back and have been reading profusely. I am becoming addicted to this site but this is my first post!

I have a 95 80-series that I have owned since 97. Other than putting BFG AT/KOs on several years back and adding PIAA lights, I haven't done much until this year. I have used this truck as a daily driver and hunting truck since 97. A stock 80 will do some pretty amazing things so of course I have bent up my rhino guard and turned my stock running boards into a wavy mess (hammered back out many times). After sticking my truck in the mud (yet again) last hunting season and seeing some modified 80s in the DFW area I decided to do some research and found Lone Star Land Cruisers which led me to ih8mud. This site has been a gold mine of information and your truck seems to be the alpha 80. I am about to make a long series of modifications to my truck which I will document and add to this site. Any words of wisdom before I start this journey....other than kiss my bank account and other hobbies goodbye? :crybaby: You can see the mods I am planning in my signature block.

Welcome

Advice - go slow and research. Like the old adage, measure twice and cut once and be prepared the screw up and learn from it. It also helps top buy beer and have someone more knowledgable come over and hang with you while you do something
