Why do you prefer the no stereo version?

I think I like the looks better without but the functionality with. I thought about simply mounting the stereo inside the centre console, but then I saw the version designed for the stereo. I'd love to hear your thoughts given you've got both.

Ill do a proper shopping thread one of these days but here's a little teaser. Lean-to is 14x70.

Great job done, congrats and enjoy it Roman!

PS. Do I see in and around your shop two legendary trailers (M416)?
Yep, I have a couple of m416s I restored and a m762 (flat bed version). One of the 416s is a designated camping trailer, and the other one is primarily for hauling firewood. Both got sand blasted and hot dip galvanized, new harnesses, gamma goat lights, all stainless hardware, new shocks, parking cables, and tires.

Great, they've got the care they deserved!

Not making much progress on the shop at the moment so decided to put some time in on buttoning up this 15bft. The big ticket item on the punch list was getting hardware cleaned up and replated so I spent a few nights digging through hardware cataloging and sand blasting to try to make the minimum charge for plating worthwhile.

The heat shield was a little rusty on the under side so I blasted and powdered it.

Both of my 15bft engines were missing the A pipe so I had this flange laser cut so I can use the factory gasket when I build the exhaust. I replaced the studs with Toyota parts.

Plug for the ACSD delete, the water pump had a nipple for coolant feed at that location.

I didn't have a plug for this sensor on hand, need to figure out the thread size.

I replaced the rear main seal on this engine before I put it on the stand, but the front crank pulley bolt didnt want to come loose with the rattle gun so I made a holder for the crank pulley.

Since I have plans for the 15bf that's currently in the 40, I dont want to rob any parts off of it when this 15bft goes in. I needed another 12 volt starter so I took inventory of what I had laying around. The Dyna and Megacruiser starters appear to be identical, they are clocked slightly different from the 3b one sitting lower and tighter against the block, additionally, both of the mounting holes are threaded and are installed with two bolts. The 3b bellhousing has a stud for one mounting hole and uses a bolt and nut for the other hole.

It looks like you could easily use these 15b starters but you would probably need to punch out the threads in one of the starter holes or the bellhousing otherwise you would have threads in both mating parts. Alternatively, you could use a smaller bolt in a pinch, without removing the threads.

All are 24 volt with the exception of the 3b starter on the far right, problem is that one is for an earlier cast iron bellhousing.

Yesterday I did some home work about nose cone swaps using the cummins starters but didnt have much luck finding a Denso unit to rob the parts from. Did some more digging and found a 12volt HZ starter so I ordered it. It came in on stock order overnight so I picked it up today at lunch.

I decided to use my 24 volt 3bii starter as nose cone donor. The solenoid lead was a rusty mess but nothing some vice grips couldn't handle.

The motor is removed, followed by the nose cone assembly. The back plate and plunger assembly can stay in place.

These screws are tight so you I used an impact driver to disassemble both starters.
