Rolling the dice on this fridge 63QQT $270 shipped

Well I ordered the43qt one Monday. Checked on Tuesday and Wednesday and order says that it's back ordered :-(. Get a call today saying that the fridge didn't pass muster on the final check, so they had to cancel the order.. **** so close to having one! I hope they have more soon.

You just gotta keep checking those links, like I said it took me almost 6 months of checking to find one pop up. I would have like something a bit smaller than the 63 but the price was soooo much better!

I use camelcamelcamel with an RSS feed to keep an eye on products on amazon when the algo makes a mistake to catch item I want but too cheap to pay retail for. I just scored the fiskar hatchet for $17.59 on Tuesday, I've also used it to score those Norton red heat abrasive discs for just over a dollar, they're normally over $10.

I've also messed with http://www.changedetection.com/ with some luck, it depends on how the page is formatted but if the item is out of stock and becomes in stock this site will let you know pretty quick.

With both sites I entered a rarely used email address and haven't been spammed in the last year.

HA funny I just got the Fiskar as well.Even though I didn't get the fridge, I do like the fact Compact Appliance checks the units before shipping.

very nice. thanks for posting the links. ill be keeping an eye out for one in a little while. this is the same price if not cheaper than going for a YETI cooler. yeti or edgestar? its a no brainer im gonna get an edgestar!

how have they been working out for everyone so far?

Finally going to get mine today! WOOT WOOT!

The Fiskar hatchet is frigging amazing for less than $20 and I already set the RSS camelcamelcamel feed to keep an out for the axe @ $25 as it has dropped once to under $20, thank-you random effed up Amazon price algo's!

As far as a Yeti or Edgestar, yes not even close as the 63qt IS cheaper than the Yeti!

How they can ship a 63qt 57lb fridge/freezer from Texas to Maryland for $270 and offer the customer service they do is beyond me but I'm going to be a happy camper this summer!

Just book marked some links, thanks guys!

Came yesterday but I've been too busy to look other than open the top of the box yet. Hopefully tomorrow evening will be the day I get it out of the box and a good looking over.

I just happened to check and picked up a 63 quart! Less than $300 with tax. I'll post up when I receive it.

I just book marked these links about 3 days ago and have been checking after work.

Just ordered the 63qt!

270 and free shipping is a steal!

Openbox says the fridge I purchased last night is in the mail, so hopefully I'll get it this weekend or early next week.

The website still shows some 80qt available for $343 as of 9:40 CST.

Same here. But after I showed her some pictures of what it would look like in her LX and she would be able to do all her errands and grocery shopping in one trip, I looked pretty smart.

Mine arrived this morning (less than 48 hours after ordering I believe). I guess I'll be building a slide for the LX this weekend and thinking about what I'll do for power in my LX and in my truck.

Funny:lol:...I told her something like that. She just said, "Did you think of that after you ordered it? So that way it wouldn't be so hard to tell me?" I said, "No, before. I was thinking of you!" :grinpimp:

hahahah good answer

I unpacked my fridge this evening, mixed review so far. The packing corners had fallen down the in box. When I took it out of the box, it has a dent in one of the vents, and a dent on one of the bottom corners. The 12v power works fine, the AC power does not work at all. Other than that it looks like a nice fridge.

The dents I'm fine with, as it was advertised. Does OpenBox.com test the units before it ships them?

They're supposed to go through them before shipping, mine is still in the box art work but I did open to take a peek.

They did a real good job packing mine, not the original box but a living direct one.
Looks to be 2" of custom cut foam surrounding all sides and top add the box itself had nice thick walls.

Take a look at the links Phil put up, I'm betting there is a loose connection on the ac side either going from or to the 12v ac converter.

I had similar packaging, but the thick foam corners had fallen (and there were only 3 of them, not 4).

I may have spoke too soon. After I got it cooled down, it will run on both. At first, the AC power turned on the display for about 1 second and then everything went black and wouldn't work at all on subsequent plug-ins in multiple outlets.

I'll keep an eye on it, the dent on the corner is right near the display. I'll take the cover off and make sure everything is still in the proper place. All in all, it's definitely worth $300 even if I have to tinker with it or mess with warranty claim.

Mine says arrives Tuesday, I will also report....
