Buff out those headlights!

It's definitely a bummer if we can't get this bumper - seems like a good option. I'm excited to see what the finished product looks like.

EDIT: just saw ^ you said there might be another shipment. Total cost?
Here's the website page for the land cruiser products. They have cost and delivery information on the pages. It's like any other eshopping experience. I believe I used apple pay.

Used a random m10 50 or 60mm bolt to plug the light washer. Cut it after the first zipclip from the reservoir. The bolt measured 9.75mm on the smooth shaft. After taking the pic I painted it with liquid electrical tape to make sure no banging on the fender from the head. It's pretty stable though, 1/3 of it is past the zip clip.

For future installers the plug you want is 10mm, the hose is 10mm ID.

Headlights wet sanded and cleared.
One coat of black on the primer.

Love this bumper. Hoping it doesn’t look too good on your rig. Don’t know if my wallet could handle it. :)
We should know if it’s a train wreck or not pretty soon.

Perfect timing for this. Placed a order yesterday with a $500 deposit. What snorkel you running? Plans on a winch?

I have a knockoff of the tjm dorkel.
I bought a Ironman monster 12k winch on st paddy’s sale. I think the best winch that fits this bumper is the carbon off-road 12k, it’s very light and has great reviews. Also $1k via the carbon US storefront. The monster was around $600 on sale, but weighs 25% more (12 lbs)
I posted some details on my build thread in the feb/mar time frame

No chamfer on the outside of the recovery points. Mill file and then die grinder to address. It’s not amazing, but better than a sharp edge.
Added some racing stripes while grinding.
Other point same thing.
More primer and paint coming.

Final positioned and tightened. Primered the recovery hooks. Moving on to winch
Assumed the center cross member was in the center, aligned to bolt.
Eyeballed to latch on hood.

Very tight quarters on the plate that joins the oem recovery bolt to the mount. One of four didn’t have room for a socket.
The vertical mount positions all have good access if you have a 12” extension.

Winch was easy. Control box I’m thinking of putting behind the grill in the horn or tranny cooler area, with the control box plug facing the grill. It will require a custom bracket.

Parking sensors fit. Best way to spin out the plug was alternate the punches to left and right.
Some wiring clips under the top for routing.
Bent the light washer brackets out of the way of the pinch weld.

Crossmember in the way under lights.
It’ll come out and another crossmember will go in.

Had to take out the center crossmember. Had to bend in (or cut) the very end of the fender. Cut one side, learned and bent in the other.
Cut a random tab off the lower center of the headlight.
Drilled out the rivets on two of the pinch weld bracket on the bumper.
It kinda fits in the furthest forward position.
Now I can mark and start trimming the bumper under the lights.
Gotta have the magic 1/2”

Had to cut the top off the bend at the fender.
Have it mounted with all bolts and high and tight.
Marked and ready to come off for final clearancing.

Looks like the grill will bolt directly to the bumper, along with the lights, so the bumper will become the crossmember.

@grinchy I'm also in Seattle (Greenwood), and would love to see what this bumper looks like in person...any chance of connecting up?
Small world. We had a condo at 7115 Greenwood ave “Infinity” back in 2004, one of the first people. A video store was directly below us. Loved that place and Red mill burger. Great memories there with our kids and walking to the zoo.

Scratch mounting the light tab to the bumper. That’s not a good idea!
Going back to a custom crossmember
