Now I'm noticing that the bumpers were resprayed in a satin black, and all the body side mouldings were removed (and all the holes filled and repainted)...

That "headlight change" is starting to add up to a lot of extra work!

I am interested in the rear mounted spare carrier! Probably won't work with our uzj100s...

Every once and a while a non US spec tailgate and tire carrier can be found on eBay. I found one several months ago and it was pricey but tempting. As it was mentioned earlier, I'd think there would be some bracing inside the body where the carrier mounts..

I saw a schematic for it some place, it looked like there were backing plates in the body that were part of the kit, rather than being built in.
