Wow Mike, never would have thought they'd be able to get them back to that condition. Looks great!

Oh baby...do they ever look nice

OK Mike, so what's the whole scoop...they took out the dents for you? Were they pitted at all before you sent them in? Did they 'fill' any pits? What was their turn around time?

Someone once told me that they had their hubcaps done, and that this process thins out the original metal, making the caps a little weaker...did you notice any difference?

Nice stuff Mike...can't wait to see them on with your new soft top

yes, I sent them what you see in the first pic and got back what you see in the second pic. You'll have to send them your caps to get a quote but mine were around $90-110 each to have straightened, and re chromed. They did not re-chrome the insides but no one sees that :D They filled all of the pits and the caps look better than new. Turn around was about 3 weeks. Caps were very solid when they came back.

Merbes, those are front hub caps :D

in order to re-chrome, they need to strip off all of the old chrome. then they use a filler metal as well as hammer work to get it all straight, then they dip it in brass?? and then triple chrome again?
Not exactly sure of the entire process but just send them what you have and they'll price it. If you dont like the price, then they ship them back free of charge. I used Paul's Chrome ( They're a big hot rod chrome shop in PA) for the hood spear and a few other doo dads. Much more expensive and the quality was the same.

I'll be sending my t birds to justchromeit soon as well.

What do you mean "those are front hub caps"? Don't the front caps have holes in the center like the late model caps do to access the hubs? I have a set of old caps that I bought, two have holes in them, although the holes are rough and almost look like someone used tin snips to open the hole. But my old front axle had locking hubs from the factory so the caps would have to have had holes.

Merbes: I don't think any of the early ones had locking hubs from the factory; they were a dealer installed option IIRC.
I have some that look tin-snipped as well....booooo!

Just the same, Toyota DID offer brand new hubcaps with a center hole. Easily distinguished:They have a rolled edge instead of a razor sharp one. Remember that set I told you about Alan? Two factory rolled caps in that set.;)
