......... PO mod ones were usually cut out with a dull knife and a freight train.

And here I had this cherished mental image of them jacking the truck up on one of those old jacks like Nolen has and then holding a rusty nail or a wood chisel to the hubcap until it scored its way thru, kinda like a Lithuanian lathe.:flipoff2:

I am so disillusioned!:frown:

I think I have enough for one good set if I get them rechromed and one beater set. That is going to have to do for a while or find some off Ebay. I'm hoping to trade something just as hard to find for some. So who has hub caps and needs something?

I am curious who's good at panel beating some of the dings out? Or wanna show us online how to do that? details! I know of one small shop in Burbank that's good at that sorta thing maybe he could do a demo in this tread?

What only one PTO winch, not one for the back. The PTO box has flanges front and rear. You need a Faireyoverdrive too. Don't forget about the Land Cruiser stamped bezel. Trust me your never done.

Quote: wesintl I'm going to have to stay away from anymore early crusiers unless they come with a set of hub caps I only have 1 set.

I'm thinking of selling off some of my old cruisers because I'll never have enough hub caps. I'm lucky I picked some up for my 68 years ago. Now it's too young and had to give them up for an older one.

that is not a nice pic to post. not at all! and at this time of year?!....

Is this better Georg? A little more festive :D

I have your address, I'll send you some home-made peanut brittle if it will make you feel better.

Because of the holidays and all I couldn't let the little orphaned hubcaps sleep in the garage.

I USED to have a collection that big. :frown: Guess I'm not as much of a hoarder as I thought.

Hey, wait a sec! Isn't treerootco the guy that photochopped the Orion all over the world? I call bullsh-t. Let's send Bush's WMD inspection team in for verification. :D

I'm confused treerootCO if you have so many old hub caps why are you paying Ebay prices for them. So how many hub caps for a Fairey overdrive? I want to see how the ones Mike (Foxfab) send to Texas come out. That prcbably what I'll do.

John

It's true..:D but he still doesn't have enough hub caps to put on all the crusiers he has. That hoard of hub caps is only like 5-6 vehicles strong... He's got way more than 6 40/45's that need caps...

Quote: treerootCO because I have a problem....there I admit it

Don't admit you have a problem, I'm always using guys like you to convince my wife I don't have a problem. If all the hoarders out there start admitting a problem it's just going to make it harder for the rest of us:rolleyes:
