i know the original radiator is NLA.
Are there any current replacements that will be easy to fit?
Both hose connections are on the left and I have a pto winch which might limit me vertically.
Thanks

Hello,

Thank you for your clarification.

Duly noted. I am curious: what radiator would work?

Not sure from the Toyota line-up. The B engine family setup places inlet and the outlet on the same side (LH) The H engine family places inlet and outlet on the RH side.

I will have to drive a ways (90 min at least) to get to any repair shop.
New would be better with ancient original rad as spare.
I see chinese aluminium rad on ebay. Seems hit or miss.

I would personally repair a factory radiator vs. getting chineseium.

For my BJ70 I had my rad dipped/recored at a shop doing mainly truck radiator repairs about 6 years ago. Was about $550 CAD at the time, likely more now. Replaced the water pump and hoses at the same time and my cooling system has been working great.

^^This. I was fortunate to have a great radiator repair shop local that was recommended by my Toyota dealership. They fixed the radiator for my 60 and did a great job.

I rebuilt mine a couple of years ago by a an old school radiator shop. It wasn’t cheap but worth it.

They reused my top/bottom tank and built a 4 core high efficiency. It was around $800ish or so. It’s a bit heavier than the original and has not gotten hot at all.

Personally, I’d skip the eBay ones and only go custom Ron Davis if going aluminum. The quote from them I got was like $1,200.

I bought a Chinese aluminum radiator for my 60 (12ht) total liability from the get go. Afforded the time to get a proper replacement sorted. Leaked, cheap, eventually failed. Waste of money…

Okay.
Shop in Richmond says they can do it. Need to find time for travel.

Thanks!

I got mine from Ron Davis superb quality I had to send my old radiator for their CAD guys to make an exact copy
Website looks pricey.
You have the same engine as me, ie that CAD drawing is correct for me?

Two 3B radiators in classifieds…would that get you back on the road until something better comes along?

Does Terrain Tamer make one? Valley Hybrids might set you up.

The bracket on top of the radiator that accepts a bolt to support the intake “tube” came off. Wrestling the rad out of the engine compartment, one of the side brackets came off.
I guess the 11 year old solder joints have had it.
Rad is in Richmond getting checked.

I will pick up my repaired radiator soon.

My water pump is an Aisin, 10 years old or so.
Would you replace it since it is all out in the open with no fan or shroud?
