Subzali, thanks so much for your excellent write-up. I changed all of my heater hoses today, and your directions made it a snap. From the ordering, cutting and photos, every step was clear and concise. My engine compartment now looks factory fresh.

Used the same part numbers for mine. Excellent post for those that want OEM hoses. Thanks!

Wow - this forum is great! I bought my '76 FJ40 more than 15 years ago, and still have a few loose parts that came with the vehicle that I hadn't identified. One is shown in the fifth photo on Post #9. It'll get cleaned up and installed at first light.

Bumping an old thread. Seems as though the rear heater hose (700mm x 13mm ID) part 99556-20700 is now discontinued as well. :(

I suppose a 1/2" ID hose would be the alternative unless someone has found another Toyota hose that's 13mm or 14mm ID.

That’s a total bummer! Do you know if there are any other lengths available in the US? At the bottom of my post I have some lengths for ROW vehicles but not sure if they are available stateside.

Hey Matt. I checked amayama and it shows that you can order one of the other Japan-only hoses like 99556-20800. Shipping was $12 - so not terrible to stick with OEM.

Update. Per Amayama, all these are out of production and NLA: 99556-20800, 99556-21000, 99556-21250, 99556-21850. So it would seem that Toyota 13mm ID hoses are no longer obtanium, or more research is needed to find some crossover parts that might work.

13mm ID cloth braided fuel hose -> click here <- (wonders if this could be used for heater hoses?)

The way I found these was by a superseded part number from the number I gave my parts guy off of toyodiy. Are any part supercessions showing? Now that I think about it I’m guessing not because I think that supercession happened when Toyota changed their numbering system a few years ago. Dang.
